Today's table napkin. Weaving at Audlem Mill.
Back at the loom today. Weaving second table napkin. Linen weft. Not sure about the white...... maybe it’ll look better off the loom and washed. Hope so!
Made a start - the first 5” Rosepath pattern, linen weft.
Back at The Mill this morning. Setting up my Ashford 4 shaft table loom to weave table napkins. It’s a beautiful sunny morning. The sunshine is pouring in through the windows.
A lovely Lillstina folding floor loom for sale. Just like mine.
Great weaving workshop in my studio yesterday. Rosepath on 4-shaft loom. Rug wool sampling.
Finished! From bobbin to Niddy Noddy to hank
Two empty bobbins, one full one. What fluke to empty two exactly at the same time! Or was it skill........?
Now I’m plying. Hope it’s the same as the last lot!
At the National Tyre and Exhaust place on Wednesday....I could sit and spin while a new exhaust was put on my car. What an expensive day out!
Spinning Ryeland wool at Audlem Mill this afternoon on an Ashford e spnner
This afternoon I set up a display of my hand woven textiles and some weaving equipment at Audlem Mill. Chris and Peter kindly invited me back so this display will be at The Mill all year. I will try to change it each month, so do come and see it. My demonstration days will vary......
