Last night we held our Shropshire Young Farmers County Rally 2019 Crop Judging competition. A huge thank you to BCW Agriculture for hosting us and giving us a sneak peek at there trial plots. Also a huge thank you to our Judges for the evening Dai Morgan and Nigel Davies.

Tonight is our Crop Judging competition, even if you're not judging there's a BBQ and a first look at the BCW/Frontier trial plots.
Crop judging starts at 6pm at Howle Manor, TF10 8AY. The BBQ and trial plots tour are from 7pm at the BCW Trial Site TF10 9LL. More info and directions are on the event below. 🌱👇🏼

Last stop on the thistle stop tour was a visit to Laund Farm, the home of sheep dairy enterprise ‘The Sheep Milk Company’ which was exciting as non of us had really seen milking sheep before.. We had a great walk around, watched the sheep being milked and finished off with a brew, cake and a bit of sheep milk cheese which was yummy! #ThistleStopTour 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

2nd stop for the day to see the Baynes family and their Marleycote herd of pedigree Ayshires and Shorthorns.. What a fantastic tour!! They milk their cows with 2 Lely robots on a low maintenance system and the majority of milk goes into their own bottling system, sending cream and milk out to over 100 buyers 🥛

Excellent trip around Blagdon home farm estate, with our fantastic host Andrew.. Some great examples of diversification including a crop walk with some interesting crop rotation and the farm shop to just name a few! They also host their own pedigree belted Galloway herd White park herds - A very informative afternoon!🌾
