Greetings to all.
The spotlight is on Elie Tahari with this selection of images. All these were taken in the Elie Tahari showroom in New York. There are also a couple of images of the showroom itself, and one of Sibel with Elie.
I won’t describe each dress, jacket, and top: I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. All these are in Si Belle now.
... But don’t forget: the Si Belle approach to making outfits is eclectic: mix and match brands. So, in the shop, we may match one of these dresses with a jacket from Marc Cain and another with one from Maison Common. We may put one of these trousers with a top from Max et Moi or Tory Burch. We may put one of these tops with jeans from 7 For All Mankind, or one of these jackets over a Roland Mouret dress.
The best plan is to come to Si Belle, and see Elie Tahari in the Si Belle context.

Welcome to Spring 2019.
I am sure you all had a splendid Christmas and New Year. Those of you who were catering for vast numbers of family and friends, I hope all your hard work was appreciated and that you had a chance for rest later.
Here is a group of images showing nine Spring dresses currently in Si Belle: some formal, some informal, some playful, some versatile and multi-purpose.
... The most formal of the images are two mono-coloured dresses: one, sleeveless, from BluMarine, and the other, with long sleeves, and almost off the shoulder, from Roland Mouret.
There are three D.Exterior dresses. These black or black and white/off white dresses all have floral pattern lace or net overlays. All these are sleeveless.
We also present three dresses from a returning brand, High by Claire Campbell. Two of these are floral prints with a fitted bodice and swagged tulip shaped skirts. The other is black, again with a fitted bodice, but with more of a loose and softly pleated A line skirt. All these are sleeveless.
Finally, we have a delightful dress from Temperley London: strappy over the shoulders, a plunging but modest neckline, a fitted bodice and A line skirt, and decoration of embroidered flowers and sequins in geometric groups. I should not be biased, but this is my favourite from this group of dresses. (My second favourite is the High dress with the pear blossom print on a pale sky blue ground: it declares, clearly and unambiguously, “Spring!”.)
To round off this collection of images we have some casual pants and tops from BluGirl, BluMarine, and TwinSet.
I will post more images as we move deeper into the season.

Good morrow all.
The final bonfires and rockets will illuminate the skies this eve.
Then, the season of parties approacheth.
... And parties need well dressed ladies to illuminate them: to radiate, to dazzle: good humour, sophisticated conversation, endearing wit, sharp observations.
Si Belle can help you to illuminate your soiree, be it formal or relaxed. Here is a selection of recent arrivals.
From Chiara Boni there is a shapely sleeveless black dress with a flared A line skirt and broad vertical bands of black glitz, so you spangle and sparkle with every movement. Also from Chiara Boni is a red dress with delightful silhouette floral detail on the front, and shoulders which can be up, or down.
From Elie Tahari we have two dresses, one blue, one black, both with flared half length sleeves. The blue is a straighter dress with a high neckline broken by a stiletto V neck . The black dress has an open flounced pleat to the skirt and eye-catching detail in the upper sleeve.
From Roland Mouret we have a delightfully elegant sleeveless dress with a neckline and upper bodice that is at once geometrically clever and deceptively simple: a very sophisticated look. A charming dress, and we have it in black and red.
If you like the bodice and neckline of the Roland Mouret dress, you can also have it in a long sleeve top, which we also have in both red and black.
Staying with Roland Mouret tops, we also have another, with sweet capped sleeves and an asymmetrical handkerchief peplum top. We have this in navy, as shown, and also in cream.

Hello everyone. I thought I would catch you before you head out to your bonfire night parties. And it is parties that this post is about, but not waterproofs and wellies parties like tonight.
The Christmas and New Year party season is almost upon us: family dos, office bashes, industry galas, golf club parties, or just a good night out with friends.
And what to wear, what to wear? Here are some suggestions, all with an appropriate mix of sophistication and sparkle, simultaneo...usly serene and showy: just the job.
There’s a gorgeously sleek sleeveless gown with a plunging neckline from Elie Tahari: and the back of the dress is a masterpiece of rich and beguiling detail.
Equally beguiling, and perhaps for a younger woman, is the magnificently embroidered princess dress, also from Elie Tahari.
From Joseph Ribkoff comes a figure hugging black dress which removes any need to choose the correct necklace. The neck, the capped sleeves, and everything in between are festooned with diamantes. Razzle dazzle.
Temperley London opts for the appearance of silver ribbons, in straight hangs, and in symmetrical folds and spirals, all against a black and sheer background.
Finally, we have a shorter black and diamante ruched dress with sheer shoulders and sleeves and a high neck from Marc Cain.
Glide, shimmer, and sashay your way through the crowd in one of these dresses and leave behind you a wake of admiring, envious, and appreciative looks. That sounds like a good start to the evening!

Sibel was delighted to meet Elie Tahari and Nicole Miller in New York earlier this week. We usually post pictures of their clothes, but we thought you would like to see the person responsible for the designs.

Appropriate for the season, all these dresses have longer sleeves.
Two of the dresses are party dresses and are shorter. There is a sophisticated ruched, high neck, black and sparkle dress from Marc Cain, and a more glitzy, pink and gold, balloon sleeved confection from Temperley London.
For an elegantly cut cocktail dress, just below the knee, with a relaxed open sleeve below the elbow and a clean comfortable neckline, this classic pattern overlay dress from Joseph Ribkoff i...s a gem.
Finally, we have a magical cloud evening midi dress from Temperley London. Here are two pictures of it, one on the mannequin, brightly lit, with the sleeves ruched up at elbow length, and a matching bag, and another, worn by our favourite Christine, which shows the neckline more clearly, the sleeves at full length, and illustrates how the right style of boots completes a wonderful picture.

Furry, fleecy, or downy: or combinations thereof. Be snuggly smug or smugly snug on chilly Autumnal days and evens. Here are a small selection of jackets, gilets, tops, scarves and hats.
The quilted jacket with the snow leopard motif is from Marc Cain: it comes with a fleecy lining, big collar and hood. If you want the big cats on the inside, and the fleece on the outside, just turn it inside out: it is fully reversible. The all-white outfit, warm top, a pale skirt with a print of braided braids, and a faux fur scarf is also from Marc Cain. The white gilet is from Max et Moi, but it works here with a red floral-patterned Marc Cain skirt, and an MC hat, scarf, and top.
A Marc Cain orange leather jacket is presented here over an orange and khaki Temperley London sash dress. (The bag is also from Marc Cain.)

Post number four is made up of tops, gilets, and other delights.
There is a long blue furry gilet from D.Exterior, Margarita in three sweaters and tops from SportMax, a multicoloured hooped and frayed fringe sweater from Paul Smith, with a big heart, and two patterned blouses from Tory Burch.
As with many Tory Burch designs, these reward attention: one print is an exploded and evolved paisley pattern, a sort of expanding paisley universe, and the other is more like a vast log...ic board or marshalling yard, with mock pockets and line diversions. This latter may sound somewhat masculine: it is anything but: a man could not wear this blouse: the straight lines do demand the curves of a woman below them. Tory Burch design is clever.
Last, but by no means least, is a brand which is new to Si Belle, but which is already proving to be very popular: Max et Moi.
We have a sporty hoody top with incorporated underlying blouse effect.
We have a beautifully soft sweater with luxurious fur neck collar.
Finally, we have a half sleeve, zipped, fur hooded jerkin, shown here on a mannequin in Si Belle. You may think it looks a bit unbalanced. OK, time to exercise your visualisation skills. The zip is running on a diagonal to the left shoulder, like on some biker jackets: imagine closing it. What happens? The long tail of fur is pulled up to meet the other end of the fur, creating an ellipse around your face, and framing you delightfully.
And with that I shall finish these four postings. I shall put away the geometry set and our well-behaved metaphors will return to their enclosure. The supernova of paisley will await a Carl Sagan of fashion to explain it further.

The third posting. This is a small group of outfits, a group of two in fact, in case you need something a tad more formal.
The white outfit is from Tory Burch and we show it here with and without the jacket. The fabric is tweedy in effect, but without being Chanel-ly. The dress is waisted with a straight/pencil skirt and panelled bodice with panels of isosceles trapeziums (if you are of a geometric bent) with the central one inverted: a simple device with a very pleasing effe...ct. Frayed fringes are a feature.
The zip jacket is based on a design that would normally be found in a more casual or a denim jacket. Notice the round neck to allow the neck fringe of the dress to appear to be part of the jacket, and the fringe detail on the jacket above the (mock) pockets flaps creates a perfect straight line with the fringe details on the dress below. A beautifully thought through combination.
The grey and white check combo is from D.Exterior. This is a skirt and jacket so you will need something underneath. The jacket looks better buttoned up with collar up or down, or you leave it completely unbuttoned. The fabric is soft and flexible: smart, and comfortable, and the lightness of the shades will be a contrast to many of the darker shades which many people will choose for this time of year: it may be Autumn and becoming dark for most of the day, but you can suggest starlight and frost and a full moon: crisp and light.
