Great service. So difficult to find mechanics that you can speak to and are really good. Just wish I lived closer. Can you open in North East London please.

My experience at Sigma sport. Is always a thumbs up. You can spend all day in the shop. And help yourself with a free coffee. Very friendly staff always smiling. I pre-ordered my complete Fi’zi:k I went and collected today. The lady who served me makes you feel welcome.
I recommend anyone to go and view this beautiful shop even if you’re passing by its a must to go in and help yourself to a free coffee and experience what this shop is all about.
Thanks david.

Bike was unridable and dangerous after a £280 service. Unbelievable, if somebody had just ridden it around the block they'd have discovered a problem with the inner chain ring. Instead, I discovered it at a traffic light. Perhaps it was because it was my old winter commuter bike they didn't treat it as they would a shiny time trial machine that they thought it was OK to send me out on a death trap. I give 2 stars because hey, free coffee.

I have bought a 5 bikes & lots of accessories for me & my family from Sigma. They have great staff who are helpful, friendly & honest. Unlike other bike shops they don't try to sell you stuff you don't need and they give unpatronising advice. They have free coffee, water, bike parking & a toilet inside the shop so the whole experience is comfortable and welcoming all year round.

I had a pressure mapping bike fit today with James at Sigma Sport and I was blown away by the level and quality service. From start to finish everything way explained clearly, every step was given due attention and each level of the process was discussed with me in a collaborative effort rather than just relying on the numbers being displayed. James went back and forth with me on the set up of my shoes and cleats, trying multiple spacers in order to address a disparity in the lengths of my legs and also a to ensure I had as stable a position as possible whilst cycling. Also, new inner soles were fitted a to my shoes to.orovide the a correct amount of arch support for me, these were custom cut to fit my shoes and again address issues in my pedaling because of physical discrepancy. Then the position of my saddle were also adjusted, this time with the use of multiple pressure mapping diagrams after every adjustment to show the improvements. Finally these were all transferred to my bicycle for me to test myself with explanations as to how the changes have improved my stability and positioning on the bicycle. I can honestly say after spending the morning with James that the service he provides so worth every penny and more, compared to what you could buy with the money I don't believe anything will have as positive an effect on your cycling as a fit provided by him which is why his experience level and skill is so invaluable.

These are my last three experiences I had in-store (not the online shop): 1) Requested the replacement of the brake/shifting cables and casings. Waiting time 6 weeks. 2) After a spoke torn off on my back wheel I requested the replacement of the spoke and true the wheel. Waiting time 2 weeks. Really? Went straight to Halfords - 10 bucks and 10 min later all good. 3) Bought new Giro Empire kicks in store recently after the nice shopman upstairs helped me with sizing/fitting. So was pretty pleased in that respect. In general staff downstairs can't be bothered and behaves a bit arrogant.

Conclusion: I probably wouldn't buy my next bike there, but I can recommend their shoe fitting service. The staff downstairs usually cant be bothered whatsoever. The guy in the workshop is hopeless busy, maybe the front desk guys could help out instead of ignoring customers?

First class advice, only the best kit and competitive prices. And good coffee! What's not to like? So lucky to have this shop so close.

Good range of products and helpful online team. Store team pretty disinterested and more keen to point you in the direction of someone else than help. Advice, when I did speak to someone, was more their own experience than listening to what I actually wanted. So ok but not what I was hoping for from such a specialist store.

Love these guys! I use their website a lot but when I want to treat myself to some bike porn I take a trip to the shop - Staff are awesome, always something to buy, and I'm hoping to use the bike fit service before the summer !

Disappointing

Earlier this year after many long rides on a new bike, 3 months old at the time, a member of staff pretty much blamed me for a broken inner chain ring which bent mid-way riding up a steep hill and tried to charge me for it. This was dealt which and the manager agreed a course of action which was only half met by him.

Subsequently during a long ride, it was further discovered by a bike mechanic that they had replaced the gear changing cables with cheaper steel ones, taking out the shimano ones during the service. This was explained to me as to why the gears kept slipping. Given how much I have spent at the shop, I found the attitude and the experience disappointing in the extreme.

It is a great shop which sells amazing bikes and kit. For my worth, the management typify the move from focus on providing a quality service to maximising revenue, forsaking the customers. They have some amazing members of staff there, particularly Nick and a few of the mechanics, but also some who cut corners, it was a very disappointing experience.

This place has been around for years and time had it when it was a good place to go to buy anything to do with road cycling.

I don't know whether it's that Ian and Jason, the owners have taken their eye off the ball or there is a new culture of help people as little as possible, charge them as much as you can and be dismissive with them.

When Sigma was new it was a unique place to go. Maybe because that's a long time ago now things have changed, there are bike shops that are just as good and on line ordering is easy and often cheaper than Sigma for the same things.

After much thought and spending many thousands of pounds, I won't be going back.

I've been riding for many years and never thought bike shops would ever be this good. Greeted by a friendly chap who talked me through the Cervelo range in good detail. Now I have to decide on which model. Beautiful shop with impressive displays.
