Abi and I went out on our first proper date night in our 'new' car last night and had a wonderful evening. We had a quick and very delicious dinner in The Cooden Beach Hotel before driving over to Beachy head to take some shots of the car against the sunset. We were a smidge late to actually capture the sun, but the sky was still gorgeous.
And in case you're wondering why I'm posting this on my business page, I'm kinda hoping it may spur some people on who may want some car portraits. I do love cars and I know there are lots of people out there who feel the same about theirs :-)

As everyone is aware, there was a bit of a storm last night! I really wanted to go out and get some photos as storms like that don't happen very often, but I confess tiredness, and it being a Tuesday got the better of me, so I just took some through a very wet window. Still, I'm quite happy with the results and next time I will promise myself to go out and get some proper ones!!

On Monday morning I had a fantastic shoot for Sussex Bed Centre Ltd at their Hailsham warehouse to take humorous images for the backs of their three brand-spanking new, shiny delivery vans. I also took some headshots into the bargain. Can't wait to see the trucks out and about!

So, after having a very long and successful run up at the Tallantyre Gallery in Morpeth, Spotless and Spotted are now back with us and looking for a gallery closer to home to exhibit for sale. Spotless (Guild of Photographers image of the year 2016, members choice) and Spotted are on a limited run of 25 each on HD acrylic aluminium subframe 40 x 26 inches. I love seeing my work in print, so it was wonderful to be able to get Cristina Villaca this beautiful framed print of her favourite image to her in time for a *rather special* birthday! Framed supplied by Campion in Rye, and printed and assembled by me.

Well, you can't say I'm not consistent! Another month and another three bronzes, this time all of them with Jenny and Ash at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa :-) I will reiterate just how hard it is to get any award in the Wedding category, so I'm incredibly chuffed with three bronzes! One day I may get another silver :-D

Hello peeps. I haven't posted for a while. It's been a funny old week. Firstly we said goodbye to my Gran who passed over the Easter Holidays and today I was at another funeral, this time for the very wonderful and influential Molly Townson who passed all too soon, and without whom Abi and I would probably never have met. Abi has also been away at a conference most of this week and I'm a little behind but I promise I will get everything sorted as soon as I can! I have however managed to get a few edited from a gorgeous shoot at the Manor Barn, Bexhill with the lovely Cristina Villaca and her family. Here are a few of my favourites.

Had such fun at "The Producers" on Tuesday. I seriously recommend it if you're at a loose end over the next few days. Hell, even if you're not at a loose end, cancel what you're doing and go see it, it's that good!

Battle Light Opera Group are this week putting on The Producers at The Memorial Hall in Battle. I had the pleasure of shooting it for them on Tuesday and it is such a great show! So very funny and I thoroughly recommend it!! There are still tickets left for the final three performances, so if you're at a loose end I urge you to go see it, you won't regret it!

I had the honour yesterday of shooting the delightful wedding of Janet and John :-) It was a brief affair, but so very full of joy and laughter...and we were incredibly fortunate with the weather as all week it had predicted rain! Here are a few from the afternoon at The Cooden Beach Hotel.

Just back from our Easter Holiday to find out that my three Wedding entries in The Guild Of Photographers #ImageOfTheMonth competition have ALL scored bronze. As I said last month, to get even a bronze in the wedding category is really quite an achievement so I'm rather chuffed :-)

After having a year off, Abi persuaded me to start entering The Guild Of Photographers "Image Of The Month" competition again.
This year I am only entering the 'weddings' category (which may be a struggle as I don't shoot many weddings, but we shall find out in due course!). The wedding category is notoriously tricky to score highly in so I am delighted to have won two bronze awards for these shots of Danielle and Daniel Elphick :-)

Just finishing a few more edits of the gorgeous Elinor and Estelle before I finally install a bathroom suite that has been waiting 6 years. Now the kids are a bit older, it's really becoming necessary. Anyway, I digress. I thought I'd finish with these as I love the 3/4 pose of Elinor, plus I just *had* to do a mono conversion; And for Estelle's I thought I try something very subtle and desaturate without going the full monochrome just to leave a hint of blue in those eyes.
Right. Where's the tile adhesive?

Had a fun shoot yesterday morning with the lovely Elinor Evans who needed some headshots. The weather was far from great so we did them all inside, still couldn't resist a chance to paly around with backgrounds :-)

I haven't posted in a while for a number of reasons, but this morning I had a fantastic shoot with the stunning and really lovely Estelle Cullingford. Estelle recently shaved her head for charity and I wanted to shoot her for her bravery and because, frankly, she ROCKS the shaved noggin!
For her new look I wanted to try something a little different from normal and went for a variety of lighting set-ups. I couldn't wait to edit and share a few from the shoot. Here are a couple of edits with a couple of different treatments. Doesn't she look fantastic!
