Simon Robinson & Son - Picture Framing Cambridge

Sometimes we feel we cannot do any better than an original old frame. This beautiful old etching just seems to belong with its original frame, and we cannot do battle with sentiment either (and would not want to!) so... New museum glass and mount.

I went to the Fen Ditton Gallery on Sunday. I have to say I was blown away, such a lovely location, Lotte showed us around with great pride and enthusiasm and rightly so!

This picture has been done on brass. I think the finish is spectacular, and the distressed frame really sets it off....... (well I would say that)!)

Had to call in the cavalry again, Mums expertise was required for this 3 metre long tapestry!

These are a series of watercolours and sketches by prisoners of war during the second World War. It is quite an emotional thing to frame, but happy to play a part in their conservation.

These exquisite little pieces of embroidery where done by young girls in the 1800s to show their needlework skills to potential clients. I knew they were special when they came in, but made more so by my Mum who prepares all our needlework pieces, when she gets excited I listen! #embroidery #antiques

We put a very thin frame round this #davidhockney print to maintain the illusion of looking through a window, and match the lines in the print.

This customer had an interesting request, we bonded their wallpaper onto board for the background. Float mounted the ceramic tile, and built in a box section for relief from the glass.
