yesterday We held a joint 7th Birthday party for my son and his class friend Sienna at Skate Arena. There was over 30 children there to cater for and the staff were brilliant, helpful and on hand at every possible point. Even cut up the cake! I would definitely recommend them in fact I know other parents are considering holding their child's birthday party there in the near future. Could not fault them at all will definitely be visiting again the kids loved it and it brought me back to my childhood too!

we had my daughters 9th birthday party here, all kids enjoyed it, Tia, the allocated party person was brilliant! value for money and great fun x

Went after school tonight my daughter and 12 of her friends. We used the term time skate offer that includes food and drink. Amazing value!! Food was generous portions and all kids were happy and full!



But what I was most impressed with was that all staff were lovely and worked really hard to go above and beyond ÔŅĹ really recommend this after school treat. ÔŅĹ

My son loves Simply Skate!! Visited today and he's enjoyed every minute with his friends. Good quality skates to hire when we realised he'd outgrown his own. Great food in the cafe, very reasonably priced and lovely staff.

Our party host was great and very accommodating ÔŅĹ this was many of the children's first time skating but they loved it so much we are already planning our next visit! I just want to say a huge thank you to Charlotte and all the team at Simply Skate today where my little boy had his 5th Birthday. Right from the beginning it was a well organised party and the children's loved Charlotte instantly! They had so much fun skating and afterwards Charlotte led everyone to the party area for pass the parcel and to play on the bouncy castle and ball pool. All the children loved every minute. The food was great and there was plenty of it, and brilliant party bags and balloons to take home. My little boy was made to feel really special and he had a wonderful time. Thank you for making it a lovely experience for us all.

I attended my nephews 5th birthday today with my 3year old daughter, she was very scared/reluctant to go onto the rink but the encouragement and support of the party leader lead her straight onto the rink!! After a little skate they went upstairs to thoroughly enjoy the ball pit and bouncy Castle. The party leader made it very fun and had full control of the children. The food was delivered upstairs whilst the children were having fun so as soon as it was all there they were sat for the party food.

It was a fantastic day :) my little girl loved it

Had a fab party! Hired the whole room out and was worth the money..

Paid £25 for ballon drop... this was fun but I think it’s a bit over priced..

Brilliant party for my wife's 40th birthday. Hired the venue for a glow party. Everyone (kids and adults) had a great time, couldn't have asked for better. Staff were amazing. Great value too. Would definitely recommend.

There was a clear description of what would happen and when. the party hostess, Beth, was lovely and very approachable with any questions. She kept me up to date every step of the way. The kids had fun and wolfed down the party food. Would always highly recommend to any other parents that want a skating party.

Little hidden gem my kids love it and it is well priced.

The cafe inside is great food is always lovely and again cheap.

My only bugbear is the people who use the cafe. There are signs up asking people to clear their plates and left overs off the table to make room for other customers.

Either some of the customers are just rude or they can't read.

Also when people are not eating they should be made to give up their tables for people who are waiting for food instead of just sitting there on their fat behind playing on their phone.

Honest review.... we had our boys 8th birthday party here yesterday as we arrived we were asked to pay the balance of the party which was fine to then be told that Martha was are party host when everyone arrived for the party we were queuing for 20 min for Skate hire which I felt was a long time when we only had an hours skate. We were given a trolley with are free juice on and told ours was the top shelf and the middle shelf was for the scouts but found that the scouts were using any so we ran out of juice so our guest were purchasing drinks from the cafe. The party games went ok which was run by Martha she did a lovely job , we were then taken up stairs for the party room for food to be told that parents couldn’t go into the party area were the kids went which I thought was a bit strange Martha was in and out of the party room which I didn’t like if parents are not allowed in there then it should be supervised by a member of staff at all times, at the end of the party all guest received a party bag and a ballon which was nice but then when I got home parents were messaging me to say that there free skate voucher expired on 31st December 2017 so they could not use it ours was fine though. My little boy received a birthday card with a photo on the front that had him and his friends on which I thought was lovely and a birthday present which he liked . I found the place was under staffed and really busy but all in all my little boy enjoyed it and Martha did the best she could .

Great venue and sure it's usually wonderful but tonight it was shame about the lack of staff in the shop when I wanted to buy something... waited over ten minutes for someone to come through from skate hire to see to my purchase. They were perfectly aware I was there, I had asked them about buying something and then they walked past me waiting at the till. This person couldn't serve me and then phone through to bar area for someone to serve me (no card machine downstairs). Only, the member of staff neglected to actually tell the person he called he needed the card machine, so again I was left waiting whilst they went to get it.



All this for a two minute transaction. Had left my 5 year old son sat on a bench with skates on whilst I went to the shop, thinking I wouldn't be long at all. Not ideal. Surely there should be more staff to cover all areas on a Saturday night with hockey/parties happening?

Great venue for hockey but the cafe needs improving. Ordered my food, everyone else in the que got there's, after fifteen minutes I asked what the hold up was and they said they were waiting on bacon, then the member of staff made herself a bacon sandwich and walked off with it. Not good service.

Came to watch the hockey events over the bank holiday weekend which we loved! Went to order 2 toasties for me and my son, to be waiting 23 minutes for them as the first person couldnt cook more than one thing at a time, then were done wrong! How do you cook 2 cheese toasties wrong?! Then wasnt even sliced! During this ridiculous wait, we missed the presentation of the trophies and 90% of the game we wanted to watch!! If that wasnt bad enough, the toilets were filthy, and i mean filthy!! Disgusting!

My son loves Simply Skate!! Visited today and he's enjoyed every minute with his friends. Good quality skates to hire when we realised he'd outgrown his own. Great food in the cafe, very reasonably priced and lovely staff.

We have had his birthday party here in the past which was fabulous, all kids loving the freedom of skating and fun on the bouncy castle.

Highly recommend to anyone who has kids who want to burn some energy!!

My daughter had her birthday party here today and she had an amazing time. Really happy with service, venue and what we got included in our party package. Our party host was great and very accommodating ÔŅĹ this was many of the children's first time skating but they loved it so much we are already planning our next visit! I visited simply skate for the first time Thursday night and was served in the cafe by a polite friendly young man, he was very efficient, and customer focused, he is an asset to your business. The food although simple was delicious and excellent value, my son had a great time thanks again simply skate

I just want to say a huge thank you to Charlotte and all the team at Simply Skate today where my little boy had his 5th Birthday. Right from the beginning it was a well organised party and the children's loved Charlotte instantly! They had so much fun skating and afterwards Charlotte led everyone to the party area for pass the parcel and to play on the bouncy castle and ball pool. All the children loved every minute. The food was great and there was plenty of it, and brilliant party bags and balloons to take home. My little boy was made to feel really special and he had a wonderful time. Thank you for making it a lovely experience for us all.

I attended my nephews 5th birthday today with my 3year old daughter, she was very scared/reluctant to go onto the rink but the encouragement and support of the party leader lead her straight onto the rink!! After a little skate they went upstairs to thoroughly enjoy the ball pit and bouncy Castle. The party leader made it very fun and had full control of the children. The food was delivered upstairs whilst the children were having fun so as soon as it was all there they were sat for the party food.

It was a fantastic day :) my little girl loved it

Had a fab party! Hired the whole room out and was worth the money..

Paid £25 for ballon drop... this was fun but I think it’s a bit over priced..

Great place to play hockey and skating! Great meal, drinks with great price and fun to watch games and play for it weekends. I find all staff very helpful and very freindly and all clean around place. Always love training team there :)

Brilliant party for my wife's 40th birthday. Hired the venue for a glow party. Everyone (kids and adults) had a great time, couldn't have asked for better. Staff were amazing. Great value too. Would definitely recommend.

The staff are so good too.

Andrew was taking my daughter round for about 3 of these days as i Wanted to have a go aswell lol.

Only downfall is the price of the slush puppies but i can live with that.

Absolutely love this place. My little boy just had his 7th birthday party here and it was fantastic. There was a clear description of what would happen and when. the party hostess, Beth, was lovely and very approachable with any questions. She kept me up to date every step of the way. The kids had fun and wolfed down the party food. Would always highly recommend to any other parents that want a skating party.

Little hidden gem my kids love it and it is well priced.

The cafe inside is great food is always lovely and again cheap.

My only bugbear is the people who use the cafe. There are signs up asking people to clear their plates and left overs off the table to make room for other customers.

Either some of the customers are just rude or they can't read.

Also when people are not eating they should be made to give up their tables for people who are waiting for food instead of just sitting there on their fat behind playing on their phone.

Honest review.... we had our boys 8th birthday party here yesterday as we arrived we were asked to pay the balance of the party which was fine to then be told that Martha was are party host when everyone arrived for the party we were queuing for 20 min for Skate hire which I felt was a long time when we only had an hours skate. We were given a trolley with are free juice on and told ours was the top shelf and the middle shelf was for the scouts but found that the scouts were using any so we ran out of juice so our guest were purchasing drinks from the cafe. The party games went ok which was run by Martha she did a lovely job , we were then taken up stairs for the party room for food to be told that parents couldn’t go into the party area were the kids went which I thought was a bit strange Martha was in and out of the party room which I didn’t like if parents are not allowed in there then it should be supervised by a member of staff at all times, at the end of the party all guest received a party bag and a ballon which was nice but then when I got home parents were messaging me to say that there free skate voucher expired on 31st December 2017 so they could not use it ours was fine though. My little boy received a birthday card with a photo on the front that had him and his friends on which I thought was lovely and a birthday present which he liked . I found the place was under staffed and really busy but all in all my little boy enjoyed it and Martha did the best she could .

Great venue and sure it's usually wonderful but tonight it was shame about the lack of staff in the shop when I wanted to buy something... waited over ten minutes for someone to come through from skate hire to see to my purchase. They were perfectly aware I was there, I had asked them about buying something and then they walked past me waiting at the till. This person couldn't serve me and then phone through to bar area for someone to serve me (no card machine downstairs). Only, the member of staff neglected to actually tell the person he called he needed the card machine, so again I was left waiting whilst they went to get it.



All this for a two minute transaction. Had left my 5 year old son sat on a bench with skates on whilst I went to the shop, thinking I wouldn't be long at all. Not ideal. Surely there should be more staff to cover all areas on a Saturday night with hockey/parties happening?

Great venue for hockey but the cafe needs improving. Ordered my food, everyone else in the que got there's, after fifteen minutes I asked what the hold up was and they said they were waiting on bacon, then the member of staff made herself a bacon sandwich and walked off with it. Not good service.

Came to watch the hockey events over the bank holiday weekend which we loved! Went to order 2 toasties for me and my son, to be waiting 23 minutes for them as the first person couldnt cook more than one thing at a time, then were done wrong! How do you cook 2 cheese toasties wrong?! Then wasnt even sliced! During this ridiculous wait, we missed the presentation of the trophies and 90% of the game we wanted to watch!! If that wasnt bad enough, the toilets were filthy, and i mean filthy!! Disgusting!
