Simply Wines Direct

I have used this shop on several occasions as they have a nice range of wines. They are always fairly disinterested but as I have good wine knowledge I don’t rely on them for advice. Visited today and received such rude and aggressive service that I won’t be going back again. Beware the money off 2 bottles offer as they seldom give it to you unless you say something. A very dishonest company.

Was looking for a specific make of gin not available from any outlet in Southampton area. Looked on line and simply wines direct had the required gin needed for xmas present. So instead of importing from spain and paying postage and not guarantee it would be here on time got gin at half internet price. Worth a visit nice friendly and helpful staff

Don't bother wasting your money. If you have a problem they don't answer the phones or reply to emails.
The couriers they use don't knock on your door or leave a card to say they have tried to deliver.
Spend your money with a company that gives better customer service

Shocking, shocking, shocking customer service. Called to complain after they ignored my delivery note asking for next day delivery. Excuse was that the wine wasn't in stock (even though website said it was), and only responded a full day after making the order. A charming individual called Jason hung up on me after I told him he was being rude to me. Great work there, Jason. Quite annoying really as their selection online is really good.

Don’t normally leave reviews but after reading them here I was dubious about using Simply Wine, but they were the only place I could find the wine I was looking for. Ordered on a Friday and it arrived the following Friday. Is very tasty and a very good price, apparently about £10 a bottle cheaper than the restaurant I tasted it at can buy it in for (I ask them where they buy it from first)! Would use again!

Purchased a box of wine from this supplier and had a very bizarre experience. They made up a lot of excuses about damaged consignments from couriers. They never answer their phone which is extremely frustrating. One star because I never received the item, wouldn't use again as had an uneasy feeling from what seemed a completely unreliable company. They did however issue me a full refund which is good.

Messed up my re-delivery booking with APC logistics due to their 4 day hold policy. Contacted Simply Wines who spoke to the couriers and sorted re-delivery with no extra charge (bottle was on the way back to the store), which i very much appreciated.
However, I would advise guys packing the bottle in a box with some air bag packing pillows to reduce the risk of damage. The fragile sticker is nice but often not enough.

Worst Delivery service ever! Don't knock when they show up. Have been in the house on the last 2 occasions and not heard a thing (first time that has happened). Don't deliver weekend except for a £15 charge. Don't deliver anywhere but the house so if you are out nobody can sign for you. The fact that it costs nearly £10 is an absolute joke. Avoid at all costs!
