Aims and Ideals of simplysourced
We throw away over 11bn plastic bottles in the UK every year. In our eyes, that's awful. It's a waste of resources, money and landfill space. Only 10% of the 13bn bottles used are recycled, and that's not enough. If people won't recycle, we need to give them an incentive to become more environmentally friendly than just feeling good about themselves.
simplysourced is a company that will be running water machines in Southern Britain at rail stations, airports and busy commuter points. Our philosophy is simple. We provide the water, you reuse the bottle. Our machines provide cooled, locally sourced spring water which is available for a small price. We also, if you wish, can provide a foldable, reusable 600ml plastic bottle, which can be carried in the pocket after collasping, or attached via a carabeena, meaning you're not carrying a massive empty bottle around with you. Or you can bring your own bottle, we're happy with that too!
We have three main promises to you, our customers, about our water.
- Our water is spring or mineral water. We don't believe you should be paying for bottled tap water!
- Our water should be cheaper, otherwise, where is the incentive to switch?
- Our water is ALWAYS locally sourced, reducing the travelling distance, and thus price.
