SIMS ENGINEERING SYSTEMS LTD is an special purpose automated machine builder, based in Harlow Essex. Founded in 1982 Sims have been running for over 40 years and have built thousands of machines, fixtures and robotic solutions for many different industries. Sims design and manufacture for international customers. Sims are well known in the automotive industry for specialising ultrasonic welding of various plastic components and for having a quick response site team for any breakdowns, commissioning and modifications. AUTOMATED SOLUTIONSULTRASONIC WELDINGMachines and fixtures designed and built to ultrasonically weld various child parts to the customers main component. PUNCH MACHINESPunch machines are another common product we design and manufacture. Often combined with ultrasonic welding to save time, floor space and overall costs. These punch machines are used to punch various holes in the customers plastic components with great accuracy and repeatability. HOT PLATE WELDINGHot plate welders are commonly used for welding plastic components together, usually for liquid holding chambers, but it's not uncommon to see these welders used to weld other specialist components such as instrument bezels. ROBOT SOLUTIONSSims have built many different types of machines which include robots. From assembly, antistatic solutions to component and jig cleaning. Working with the main robot manufacturers ABB, FANUC, NACHI, KUKA although we can design and program any robot of a customers spec. ASSEMBLY FIXTURESSims design and manufacture assembly fixtures of any size or shape and can be designed for an operator or robot to use. PART STORAGEStorage solutions are becoming more popular through-out all industries. Especially the use of pick-to-light technology. Sims already have a range of pick to light storage solutions for various size standard storage boxes. Although anything can be designed around customers specifications. INSPECTIONQuality and repeatability are one of the highest priority factors of producing any part or assembly, from one off, batch to mass production these components must be inspected properly.
