IMPORTANT NOTICE! IтАЩve just been informed that because of CastertonтАЩs School Play being performed on 27th + 28th June (ie the end of this week) the Swimming Pool will be unavailable for use. Therefore our lesson on Friday 28th June will be cancelled we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause but unfortunately it is out of my hands. This lessons will be added on to the end of the current block. ALSO Casterton have requested that all children are supervised before... and after the swimming, and that they do not use the schoolтАЩs facilities other than those associated with swimming for example the Sports Hall, and as well the new 6m high climbing frame. I will be sending an individual message out to all that swim with us on a Friday but in the mean time if you could share or tag anyone that this may affect it would be much appreciated. Earlier this morning I used a random number generator to reveal who had won our fabulous prizes!!! First prize goes to Kristy Mills number 13 (Body shop hamper of over ┬г100 worth of products). Second prize goes to Jemma Kellet number 20 (┬г30 worth of swimming lessons). Third prize goes to Kim Wilson number 37 and Ellen Bargh number 4 (a bottle of bubbly each). Due to children moving up classes we now have space for non-swimmers/beginners at Sink or Swim starting from next week. (Monday and Wednesday at Hornby and Friday at Casterton)
Non-swimmer/Beginners lessons are about teaching the basic skills of swimming like safe entry in water, kicking, floatation and breath control.
... Lessons are structured but teachers also use play and fun water based activities to develop the independence necessary for the next level.
To join these classes, a child should be happy to be in the water and ready and able to follow instructions from a swim teacher.
Spaces come on a first come first serve basis, message to book or for more details.
