How competitive is your mortgage rate?
See how the 4 main mortgage types compare; how the rates vary between 10 of the main lenders, and what effect this would have on your monthly repayments (based on a 90% Loan to Value mortgage on the UK average house price of £234,000 over a term of 25 years).
There are pros and cons to each mortgage type, and the best option for one person may not be the best for another.

For those coming to the end of their fixed rate mortgage term! Many people don't realise that once your fixed rate term ends, the interest rate will revert to what's called the Standard Variable Rate. This is often significantly higher than what you'd get if you took out another fixed term.

The Bank of England have hinted that interest rates could rise earlier and by a larger rate than previously thought! Something for those not on a fixed rate mortgage deal to consider.
