Well done to our tag rugby team on coming 2nd in the North Wealden Tag Rugby finals yesterday! There were 10 schools that took part and our team did very well to come 2nd. More details will follow in the newsletter.

Eyfs have a seed sale this afternoon straight after school. We are selling packets of seeds for 50p each (see photo). Money raised will be used for development of the outside area planned to take place over the Easter holidays. Please could we ask that you bring exact amount of money (or loose change) as we wont be able to give change.

Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to inform you about a couple of incidents that have been reported to us over the past few days, regarding children walking to and from school, independently of their adults. The two incidences that occurred have been reported to the police and are currently being investigated. East Sussex Police have been in regular communication and they have reassured us that they are increasing their patrols in the Crowborough area, in particular, at ...the start and the end of the school day.
Please advise your children, if they are walking alone and have a mobile phone, they should call 999 if an incident occurs. 101 can also be called to report the incident after the event. In addition, Chris Harrison is a visible presence as Crowborough’s community Warden and can be contacted on 07734392141.
As you are aware, children in year 5 and 6 are permitted, with the correct consent, to walk home without an adult and we have in place robust systems and lessons to ensure that the children know how to keep themselves safe on their journeys to and from school. They have also been advised on how to report any incidences that occur, immediately to an adult, so that it can be dealt with promptly. Please talk with your children about keeping safe: going straight to school, coming straight home from school, not changing their route without telling you first and walking with a friend where possible. If your child is concerned or anxious about walking to and from school please consider walking with your child for the next few days.
Your children’s safety is always our main priority and we take all incidences such as this very seriously. All local schools have been made aware and are all giving the same advice.
