INALA premiered in 2014, selling out the largest theatre in Europe at the Edinburgh International Festival and marking 20 years of democracy in South Africa.
Sisters Grimm conceived and produced the critically acclaimed, Grammy nominated, sell out theatrical show INALA with choreography by Mark Baldwin OBE and new music co-written by Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Ella Spira. INALA has attracted world class performers such as the South African legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Soweto Gospel Choir, current and former dancers of the Royal Ballet & Rambert.
2019 was a spectacular year for INALA with a very successful West End run, followed by shows at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, a performance at Hampton Court Palace for Prince Harry's concert and finishing the year with a Royal Albert Hall performance and premiere tour of China. Having conceived and created INALA to celebrate diversity and African culture, to see the music get a Grammy nomination and then play the Royal Albert Hall on World Ballet day and Black History Month was an epic end to the year.
