I started here a year ago during the first wave of training. I am now a development team manager. The progression is there if you want it and work hard for it. Fantastic place and people. Of course it has its ups and downs like all businesses as we are a new site however it's going to get even better and the future looks bright with sitel. I am proud to be a part of the team and look forward to celebrating more success in the future.

User

Great staff at sitel they go above and beyond to help their customer 🙂

User

Great site and the people are all lovely!

This is a new office but if you stick it out, ultimately the progression and development that is available through the challenging busy periods would all be worth it and a great experience personally.

Great place to work for an exciting ever expanding company. Have been made to feel welcome since Day 1.

User

Always a fantastic atmosphere in the ship! It's the people who make it a great place to work and we have some great people!

User

A rarity in Plymouth to find a company that believes in progression, speaking from experience if you have a passion for customer service / progression into a senior role then get in contact... its a fabulous job for agents that apply themselves, can empathise with others and enjoy it at the same time !

User

A fantastic building full of wonderful people. The greatest part of working at Sitel is the people. We have come a long way in the last year. The success is down to all our great associates. Well done all!

Well I've just completed my 1st year here in Plymouth and after all the hype and sitting in a seminar hosted by the team from Sitel, I had in mind an image of a company that would offer development and the ability to progress within the business and expand my experiences in life. I found that that sitel offered a lot more than that. Apart from being successful at becoming a team manager track within 8 months, which I have now sadly ended to pursue ventures elsewhere, I have met a variety a people from all backgrounds who all have an important position within the business, have all have set a shining example and I'm proud to call them my friends. However, I'm sure i speak for a majority of the current and ex employees that there is certainly room for improvement which are rapidly occurring in the background and are being put in place TBC.

All in all I would recommend Sitel as an employer. Not only to meet new people, but to earn at 3 or 4 times than you were signing on the dole. It's a no brainer unless you've got a thing for Jeremy Kyle or Homes under the Hammer.

Worked for Sitel since January, had good attendance, good feedback from my manager and my QA who in my opinion were the best in the building at there job... as people in other teams always went to them because they listened unlike there actual managers who most (not all) walked around power tripping all day telling people off for taking a piss or being late by a minute because the ladies in the coffee shop took ages to make a coffee by the time you took your 15 min unpaid measly break you had hardly any time to do anything managers doing absolutely nothing but chatting and bantering with everyone some advisors got away with murder using there phones on the floor for months thinking they were untouchable because they went on nights out with the management... walking around being off there phone or continually locking themselves out of there phone.

Taking high levels of calls with no listening experience just thrown on calls with customers because we was the first wave, no privilege of grad bay as promised on the interview. Managers walking around dressed like they going on a night out belittling the way people dress when them themselves looked inappropriate for work. Promised once probation passed we had further work when we didn’t even know at the end of the contract any work was going to happen, safety of our jobs next to none, no loyality to current employees who had put months of hard work in to be told we have to work another 6 months probation on another campaign if we was even considered for it.

Stopped from taking holiday until the contract ended if we didn’t take it we didn’t get paid for it yet we was not allowed to anyway. In Sitel you are not valued you are a number and someone who can be replaced in a heartbeat... training period okay initially but a lot of information in one hit packed in and people expected to absorb it all then when you get on the phones you hardly come across anything that you learned, floorwalkers with attitudes who tell you the wrong thing to do or make you put the customer on hold for long periods of time which in effect affects your call handling time which you get pulled up for (although a lot were cool and some helpful) most walk around bantering and not really helping. Some calls you have to do things for the customer to update there information which you go into after all for and within three mins you have real time phoning you up asking what your doing like the phone police, buzz training sessions that repeat the same information continually when it comes to anything related to escalations or complaints process your job is made harder and harder by them changing the process to the point the customer is on hold for absolutely ages whilst a useless floorwalker stands over you barking orders what you should do and say to the customer when all the customer wants is to speak to a manager

I’m 30 years old and this is the worst company I have ever worked for and I’ve had numerous jobs stop treating your employees like dirt and numbers and treat them like people with respect, train your senior staff properly at least keep some of your senior staff as so many leave due to your stupid management system. Recognise that retaining employees is paramount. I only stayed due to the fact I met some awesome people in my time and my manager was the best one and my QA continually supportive everything else was a train wreck.

User

Ive left after 4 months, couldn’t deal with it mentally, a lot of pressure from management to work fast to meet targets. Customers want to be treated like royalty and constantly got shouted at they training was insufficient and difficult to work under pressure while customer is screaming on the phone other people like that job And everyone has their own opinion

User

Worst place I have ever worked. Glad to be gone! Can speak for many people as not a day went by where we wasn’t upset about how the place was ran, refused every holiday and I even got told I needed to stop going for toilet breaks! Wish I could rate no star!

User

Stop sending me job offers, I don't want to work for you.

User

Just left Sitel. Going to give an HONEST review for those who take the time to read it.

The company is new I get that, but it is not an excuse to inflict difficulty onto the staffs personal lives. The employee turnover speaks for itself. To put that clearer for you. I had just taken 2 and a half weeks holiday, 30!!!! Staff had been dismissed or left in this time.

Training was a shambles, with a constant threat of dismissal for the simplest of mistakes. My personal experience of 3 different trainers, one of which was COMPLETELY UNQUALIFIED. Half of the information taught turned out to be false anyway.

Onto the transition. Thankfully I had met my manager previously so it was not so bad for myself, however the majority of staff are dumped and left to their own devices.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT 5 STAR REVIEWS. EACH ONE OF THESE REVIEWS ARE FROM, TEAM LEADERS AND ABOVE. THEY ARE TAILORED AND MADE TO GET MORE CATTLE THROUGH THE SLAUGHTER.

Having said this. Some of the people you meet are fantastic. It's just a shame you have to meet them at Sitel.

User

If I could rate 0 I would. Worst place I’ve ever worked in, took me nearly two months to get my holiday granted which was booked before I started here, getting told you can always go to a different department, when you want to, you’re forced to hand in your notice! Only two mangers out of all of them would support you, place is disorganised, and useless, and they wonder why 100’s of people don’t return after a few days of training/being on the phone! Wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here
