Sixfields Stadium
Reviews
Standard modern box type stadium. Access not bad and views OK from all seats. On the pricy side for this league.
Hard to give the Sixfields Stadium more than 3 stars. As a faithful Cobblers attendee for 20+ years, it's fair to say that Sixfields is a better viewing experience than was the 'old' County Ground, but it still lacks a bit of pizzaz for sure! However, it's handily placed for access and egress from the local train station and all the major motorways and there's plentiful parking and eateries, not too far away. At this time, one side of the ground is a shabby skeleton of a stand due to 'local' financial troubles but the current capacity of circa 7.6k 'patrons' is rarely ever achieved anyway.
Good light car park close to ground, nice sheltered ground with good facilities and felt good family atmosphere and safe.
Above average facilities but the stands are quite exposed so if it rains be prepared
A good stadium aspecially when you win 6-0
The evening I went to the stadium it was tipping down with rain and the only cover was right at the back of the stand. Luckily there weren't too many people so could do this although my seat was in the front row. Nice and friendly people though.
Plenty of places to go and eat and drink before and after. Car parking is easy the rugby was also on later was not a problem. The ground is clean and modern with good facilities. A bottle of water at £2.40 was the only issue.
Good for a quick night out food and entertainment in one location. Parking can be tight at the weekends but if weather is fine walking between the sites is easy.
Home of my beloved Northampton Town FC. Lovely stadium with plenty of room when seated. Come along and watch some decent league 1 football. Staff are excellent and always happy to help
Home of The Cobblers. Good facilities especially for the physically impaired.
All that you need to get a great football emotion is there :)
The theatre of my occasionally disappointment. Love it though.
