Sixt Car Hire Caledonian Rd. Station

Convenient location, though note that the actual office is on Caledonian road, while you collect and return your car at the garage on Brewery Road.
I rent from here quite regularly and often receive a very new car with only a few hundred miles on it. Service is efficient enough.

I would highly recommend this Sixt branch. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was also upgraded to a brand new Mercedes at no extra cost and the car was in a perfect condition!

Had a smooth hire experience both picking up and dropping off a 24hr van hire. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful.

I hired a car in Newcastle for 3 days over the bank holiday weekend. However my train was delayed and it looked like i would miss the opening times of the pick up location. I managed to contact their customer services and they arranged the car to be driven to the airport nearby - at no extra cost - very helpful, the local branch also phoned me back to make sure everything was arranged.

Firstly, the BMW car I hired was damaged, which is I guess a reality and not the end of the world, however it would've been nice to have a car without very apparent dents and scratches on the the bonnet and other damage. However after my efforts to check the car thoroughly(due to the evident existing damage), the Sixt server appeared to mutter something under his breath as he walked away, out of apparent annoyance at my attempt to be sure all damage was accounted for, before driving off, not great. To further my disappointment, the car was not clean internally, which was annoying but I was just keen to start my journey, so I let it go.

The nail in the coffin for these amateurs was receiving two London Congestion Zone fines for failure to register the vehicle for driving in the zone. I understand the reasons for this zone and all implications therewith, however it's simply unacceptable that not a word was spoken to me regarding my duty to register and pay to drive in the zone. Very underhand at best, really unacceptable way to deal with clients whom they should treat much better, especially considering the nature of their business. Promoting confidence and trust should be priorities for Sixt, especially in London, where they'll deal with clients from far and wide, thus potentially spreading the good and bed reviews much further than these shores.

So disappointed with them, I can only recommend that you avoid at least the Kings Cross branch, sparing you from potential disappointment and even as in my case, significant added hidden expense.

Great car hire and super close to kings cross if you need to hire a car for the weekend. I hired a van over the weekend and was able to drop off at 4pm Sunday which was ideal. I'd use Soft again.

Shocking experience - avoid like the plague. Failed to confirm my reservation and then told me they were sold out. The useless branch manager couldn't even answer the phone. To avoid disappointment and last minute price hikes, go elsewhere!

The car rental is close to Caledonian Road subway station, only a few minutes walk. Good to use this car rental place as it sits outside the city's congestion charge area (as long as you don't drive through it!). Good if you are planning a trip outside the city. Be aware that there still is a bit of driving to get out of the outer city itself! The service was good, but 1 minor thing was the car was not fully cleaned of rubbish
