How the Home Office changes are affecting lives
Since 2012 the UK Visas and Immigration Office have changed UK Immigration significantly.
• Domestic Workers are no longer allowed to enter the UK for more then 6 months. ... • The Adult Dependent Relative Application has now been restricted to applicants where they are not medically fit to complete daily living activities, can apply. • Partners of settled and British Nationals need to meet the £18,600 salary threshold. • The Tier 1 (General) where previously supported Highly Skilled Migrants is now closed, with last settlement applications applicable till April 2018. • 14 Years Long Residency Route has been removed.
However, on the bright side, the Home Office have introduced other categories such as the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur, Tier 1 Exceptional Talent route to boost entrepreneurship in the UK.
• It has become known to individuals and businesses overseas that setting up business in the UK is difficult. • Families have faced issues based on the introduction of the £18,600 salary threshold to be able to live together in the UK.
