Great service.

The 5 star rating is for our main waiter Ekrem, he was the best.

We didn’t mind paying the £21 service charge as he deserved it, I do hope he gets the whole amount.

Visited for the first time last night to celebrate our 6th year wedding anniversary, the food was amazing, the service was exceptional and just had an all round modern, smooth vibe. Can’t wait to bring my girls for cocktails � Thank you �

Took the hubby to Skew for a birthday treat. Beautiful fresh food and amazing service. Waiting staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Looking to book again with friends in the coming week.

OMG! What can I say? I’ve lived in the area for 15 years and this restaurant is simply the BEST restaurant around.. (by a very long way I might add!)

The food is to die for. The cocktails are beautiful. The staff are very polite and attentive. The decor is tasteful and relaxing. The music?... Well, I just loved every song that came on! You can stay downstairs for a meal, or wander up to the balcony area and cocktail bar for drinks and a chat or even for a little boogie if you fancy. They even have a very organised and numbered cloakroom facility!

I feel every little detail has been thought of here. This place ticks EVERY - SINGLE - BOX in my eyes. My new favourite place. Just wished I’d visited sooner!

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, waiters very polite, helpful, friendly and sociable. And made us all feel quite special, Food delicious well cooked and beautifully presented.

Only down side we couldn't stay longer had to leave for school run.

I was a little worried that on one of the hottest Sundays so far and being a Bank Holiday weekend that our table of 18 might be a bit too much for the restaurant? How wrong I was, we were the difficult ones, we were looked after so well, the manager was so attentive and helped us enjoy a very special occasion! All of our friends commented on the delicious food and the friendliness of the staff - thank you Skew for a brilliant and unforgettable evening xx

Have eaten here 4 or 5 times now and every time it’s been amazing. Had my sisters birthday here tonight and the food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was lovely as always and the staff are brilliant, can’t do enough for you, they had so much patience with our crazy 6 children we had between all of us, this has become my favourite restaurant in Bishops Stortford and the best place to have a drink and a boogie of a weekend!! Celebrated my 22nd birthday at Skew, what a lovely restaurant! The 4 of us were all served incredible food, the cocktails are amazing and the hospitality is the best I've experienced. My glass was kept topped up all night, we were checked on all night to see if we needed anything more and I was surprised with a mini birthday cake from the staff! Thank you so so much. The cocktail maker in the bar downstairs was full of life and made my experience!! We will all definitely be back! �

Beautiful Sunday roast , beef and lamb was so tender ,portion size perfect and service great . Highly recommended really good value 2 courses for £14:95 . Beautiful bottle of borello decantered made for the perfect Sunday chill .

Food amazing, staff friendly. That said there was confusion over there table policy. Wanted to sit outside, there were no tables so was asked if we would like to wait. Not in a rush so agreed. As soon as a table was empty someone that just walked in off the street sat down. Waiter came back and asked us if we would like to share. Not happy but stood my ground. They didn’t seem to know what was going on. Their food however was delicious, well worth it. They then added £20 onto my bill for drinks we didn’t have. Shame as the confusion of some of the waiters ruined what was a lovely meal.

A very nice restaurant, very airy, good service. When we first arrived it was quite noisy but hey ho!

The food bit is the best, very good food, good portions, well cooked. I will make a return if only for the dessert (I had caramelised banana).

Hell let's make it 5*****.

Was looking forward to another lovely evening, but not tonight! Checked in at front desk early so we could go upstairs to the bar! Ordered drinks and a pornstar martini which we had to ask for the shot of prosecco on the side as it had been forgotten! Time went by and we had several drinks but were not called to our table. We then asked when we would be seated and was told that somehow we had been forgotten and would be seated ASAP. Ten minutes later we were seated right by the toilet door which would of been fine except the emergency door was open and the staff were smoking outside, this wafted through every time some one went out to the toilet. Our starters arrived and we tried to ignore the negatives and enjoy the evening but then mains came and my husbands was wrong, they did sort this out but we got the blame for the mistake! The waiter didn’t seem to have time for us whilst he was looking after a large table of ladies opposite!

Such a shame! Not a good night!

Myself and 2 friends ate here on Thursday night during their ‘free flowing’ evening. The starter portions were small and we wondered if this was due to the set menu and unlimited prosseco?



The rest of the dinner was nice (although finding a piece of plastic wrapped cucumber in the salad wasn’t!) but unfortunately have had better elsewhere in Bishops Stortford.



At 9.00 we were asked to vacate our table as there was another party waiting although we couldn’t see anyone waiting. We were told we could go upstairs. According to the T&C’s of this offer we had 2 hours in which to take advantage of the unlimited prosseco. At this time we had been there for 1.5 hours. When asked if we could have the unlimited prosseco upstairs we were told ‘no, you’ve had enough!!’. We stayed at our table to finish our drinks but whilst doing this we were hassled another 2 times to leave.



After this they have the cheek to include a service charge in the bill!



Needless to say we will not be returning and would recommend other Turkish restaurants over this one.
