SkillsMastery is an online platform which helps children progress with their written literacy and grammar skills.
Skillsmastery Description
At SkillsMastery, we write, develop and supply interactive solutions to improve literacy skills. Our products are designed to meet the new KS2 writing and grammar Criteria and writing and grammar requirements of KS3 for students with English as a first language and for those with English as a Second Language, but are also suitable for any other literacy skills improvement programme.
SkillsMastery is a new company that has been set up in response the requirements of the new National Curriculum. Stephanie Holt, the owner and course designer is an English Language specialist and has been an Advanced Skills teacher of English for over ten years.
Many children are held back because of a lack of written literacy skills, needed to function within the new curriculum. The new literacy curriculum has thrown up many challenges, not least the depth of grammar knowledge that students now need to be successful in the grammar tests. SkillsMastery uses functional grammar within a literary context to support students between 8-14 develop their skills and their knowledge of the meta-language needed to progress in writing at KS2, KS3 and have a sound thorough knowledge which will impact on their achievement at KS4.
Skills Mastery supports schools and individuals to improve their written and grammar skills, increase their confidence, improve their writing across the whole curriculum and fulfil their potential.
SkillsMastery is our fully hosted, online platform, which provides a learner-centric solution for all written literacy needs, whether that be intervention, lesson or progress support.
Learners, tutors, admin staff and managers all have unique log-in details to give them secure access to their own area of the platform.
Individual, group, and organisation-wide reports are available to track and manage progress, all of which can be exported to Excel for more in-depth analysis.
The resources are all designed to help managers, learning support staff and teachers effectively place learners on the correct leaning pathway, identify gaps in knowledge, and give them the resources they need to improve.
Skills Mastery is compatible with phones, iPads and tablets.
