Some highlights from last week's architecture workshop at Beauchamp College where former student Sanjay Mistry held an introductory talk and practical task :) The students were split into two teams and set about designing and building a portable cardboard shelter that can be used by a homeless person. See the winning design at the end!

Sanjay Mistry is at Beauchamp today in his role as an Architectural Ambassador for the RIBA. He will be explaining to a class what architecture is, what architects do and setting them a practical task in teams! It’s all about introducing young people to the world of architecture, dispel any myths and get them to consider it as a possible career option.

A colleague took this beautiful shot of progress on this extension we posted previously; cladding is on and windows are being installed. Interiors are progressing well and the exterior is very close to completion.

A peek inside one of our large private extensions in progress... the roof is on, windows have been installed and some of the stud walls are in. Plenty more to come with this one, watch this space...

One of our conversion projects has been kindly recognised by the Wigston Civic Society as it 'enhances the immediate vicinity and improves the Wigston environment'. We accepted the Certificate of Commendation on behalf of our client (the owner) whose beautiful former factory was repurposed into flats. Thank you WCS!

Remember our progress photos of this project? It has recently been completed and we have some ‘before and after’ photos to share with you! The characterful property underwent a two storey side extension, demolition of garage and a new single storey extension. The project was built by Start Right Building Contractors, who have been fantastic to work with and have done an exemplary job for our clients.

We're nearing the end of March and one of our larger private residential extensions is close to completion. The property is undergoing many works including a two storey extension, relocation of the kitchen, a new utility room, WC and wet room at ground floor level. The first floor has also been altered with the relocation of the stairs to improve the layout of the bedrooms and ensuites.
