I can see the race car from our Llandow accommodation.

When you suddenly have a brainwave and we have a lathe and some round stock in the workshop... More to follow on this madness. If I had to guess I'd say these were probably about 20,000cc/min

Quite cool results to see here. Mazda mx5 Nc which came in a while back for our fast road kit. In today for a new sports catted centre section and backbox. Then back on the dyno for a tweak. 8hp more at the wheels. Everything below 5krpm remained much the same, but after that the ability to breath has really opened up the top end.

Nice numbers from this built ca18det mapped up here today using nistune.

Our ultimate clutch has just got better. Due to last years supply issues we started this year looking for someone different to put these into production. Well it turns out that was a fantastic idea as now we have a fantastic regular supply to keep up with customer demand, but also they were able to suggest some improvements to our already fantastic dual friction design. The end result is a clutch kit that should out last the previous design by a substantial amount, while main...taining pedal feel and a massive torque holding capacity.
We still recommend that this clutch kit is perfect for almost every Mk1, Mk2 Mazda MX5 whether you are after a great quality clutch for a stock car that feels as good as stock, or you want something to transfer the power of your fully built, turbo monster.
Our clutch kit will hold more power than your gearbox, so unless you need a custom option to suite a custom gearbox, this clutch is all you will ever need.
We also have these available with our lightweight flywheels.

A quick sneak peak of what is likely to be in the 2nd episode of project 300. Long day today just covering my workshop with swarf but that's 1 down, 1 to go.

The good news is it fits. Now to put the rest back together and see if it works. Much nicer looking bunch of bananas than the stock manifold and with a nice neat little sports cat in there to keep the emissions in check.

I was... I wasn't.. I posted. Wanted to get it finished and tested first... But a quick snap of a project. Sorry about the clutter.... But I got back from hols today.

User

I keep getting asked for it, so here is the exhaust note from my mk3 with the centre shotgun exhaust.... With some slightly more interesting than usual scenery.

A little bit of an evening project underway. There is a man by the name of Mark who will probably like to see this.

What revs to 13000 rpm and makes 150 wheel horses....... The answer is a ratty black home built supercar slayer. Awesome fun dyno testing this one with its paddle shift and loony revs.

Using the bank holiday to play with our new ecutek skyactive tuning suite. This ND is completely stock. Looks like there are improvements to be had, but interestingly the improvement available to throttle response is even more impressive. They are so flat out of the box, but just a few sessions with a laptop and it's transformed the car. Very impressed so far and the potential with the right hardware looks very good.

So on the bank holiday weekend I bought a new personal project car.
Then a week later I got together with Kraigy J after a brief chat where we had an idea!
Id like to introduce all of you to #project300.
... We plan to do a youtube series following the build which is already gaining momentum and seems to have got a lot of parts suppliers and manufacturers on board already.
I hope you enjoy the first eposide and Im really excited about letting you guys follow my thought process and build progress as the series and the car develop... And maybe by the time the car is complete I might feel comfortable being on camera.

The effect of a faulty knock sensor. None of the boost... None of the timing... All of the fuel. Amazing what a plastic donut attached to a pair of wires can do.
