A Boxing event was due to take place at Zero6, part of Skylark Hotel, on Friday 15th December 2017. those who had plans to attend this event are informed, that the boxing event has been cancelled, and should approach Mr Giles Carter on 07701283860 and Mr Terry Butt on 07780440740 who are the organizers. Please also note, that the Hotel is not connected to Mr Giles Carter or Mr Terry Butt in any way.

Very nice Bedrooms!. Good food and Drink! Excellent Breakfast !

A few minute from the center of Essex , Casinos and the Sea.

Good for Families and couples.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Good transport links. Great venue for large sit down events.

Skylark Hotel is a very good and lovely place to hold any function from parties to weddings. The management is very helpful and the price of the venue is reasonable.

The facilities like kitchen dining hall and bathrooms are very clean.

There is a lot of parking space too

I have been there for two days and one night and the the staff were amazing.From the guy at the reception who has help us to the beautiful Greek girl.Good breakfast and beautiful surroundings were you can relax and enjoy the nature

We were there one nite the room was very nice and warm. Breakfast in morning was very nice nothing to much trouble from staff. Yes we would stay there again ’┐Į

We were fortunate to get a room at last minute request due to the Southend airport being closed after a few hours...normal practice there. We enjoyed our gracious stay

We have just spent two nights at The Skylark and found all the staff friendly, respectful and helpful to two OAP's and the accommodation faultless. Kettle sprung a leak this morning at 6 am it was replaced within 5 minutes. One small niggle was the cold plates we had our Full English breakfast on this morning. Sort that one out Skylark and definitely 5 stars from us!

Very nice hotel for a short stay, we stayed over night and had no problems, yes it had its faults but all we needed was a bed for the night and food before our night started and had no problems at all

The room was dated but very clean and comfortable the staff were very nice and helpful. Found the stay very quiet and pleasant.

Me and my friends on the night of 1st july. the room was big and clean.



But when we walked out of our room on the 1st july we could smell weed. And we walked past a room and the cleaners were smoking it in one of the rooms. I think that was wrong.



Then at 4am on the 2nd july. While we were asleep we were woken up to some people shouting in the corridor. We asked them to be quiet as we were sleeping and they said no. But after that they were quiet.

It was ok to say for a night, I don't think I would stay any longer. The room was okish, there was a bit of damp. We had a snack it was ok.

Family Room was big n clean.

At night could not sleep well, firstly like spinning noise secondly like someone pressing off and on on switch.

Service is very good

Room was freezing!! Bed cover too small too long for breakfast and not enough choice

Had to help ourselves to menu's as no staff around. Waited 35 minutes for food for portions to be shared after ordering separately.

Worst hotel ever and we've stayed in a few!!! Nothing better than a hostel in fact they are probably better. Hotel staff very rude not helpful at all. Their bed making skills needed some practice I don't think shaking a sheet onto a bed is quite good enough. Guests don't seem to sleep in this hotel they would rather shout and scream in the corridor. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. STAY AWAY from this hotel

There are 2 noises one that sounds like a tap running in a sink with no plug and another that sounds mechanical like as someone already said a washer machine on constant spin didn't sleep at all despite getting in late we got up at 7am and left as soon as we could. Room was OK but not Really worth the money

Had my wedding here .. and well what can I say apart from the staff they were awesome but can't say the same for the owner! He is a complete arse and 2 days before my big day he tells me I can have it out the back where we original planed and then says we have to have it out the front with 50 odd children running near the road! Like I said if it wasn't for the staff my day would have been ruined! I would think twice in dealing with the owner iv also found out he's a fraud !!!

Depressing!

In the middle of nowhere. Was a horrible smell of bacon/ kebab upon entrance to reception and when we left in the morning.

The rooms were bare and no pictures. The bathroom was freezing. No I wouldn't stay there again.
