Our Silver Circus group had a great excursion on Monday to Manchester's The Royal Exchange Theatre to take part in their Elders Exchange Day! Here's a little taster of what they got up to...

Circus WOW starts again in October! Six Circus Saturday mornings of fun and performance for young people with disabilities, only £1 per child.
Circus WOW will run on Saturday 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th October, 3rd and 10th October for our big show off. 10am - 12 noon
... Booking is essential and participants must live in the borough of Rochdale.
Circus WOW is our Saturday project that allows young people to bring along their family and friends to learn circus skills and share the fun of performance.
Circus WOW will run over 6 Saturdays and gives everybody a chance to shine as we will create our own circus performance. Cue music, lights and costume!
Circus WOW is suitable for children and young people with a wide range of disabilities from Autistic Spectrum conditions, learning and physical disabilities to complex and PMLD. We look at making the skills as accessible, inspiring and engaging as possible from sensory and tactile equipment to rigging wheelchairs so they can fly!

Fancy joining in a circus or aerial workshop, for free? 😜Come down to the Rochdale Feel Good Festival today and come find us 💙 We will have aerial performers, stilt walkers, jugglers 🤹🏻‍♀️ and lots of fun for you and the kids too! 🙂 Find us opposite the town hall near the sunken gardens between 11-5pm 💫💙 workshops and performances will run throughout the day in specific time slots, so please do give yourself enough time to wait for our next workshop to avoid disappointment 💫💙

Good News! Skylight has been successful in raising funds and now some wonderful projects will be going ahead with several chances for people to get involved.
The HLF is funding Mr Kite and the heritage of Circus in Rochdale as part of the National Circus 250 events to celebrate the anniversary of Circus.
The song on The Beatle’s Sergeant Pepper’s album ‘For the Benefit of Mr Kite’ by John Lennon, inspired by a vintage poster he saw featuring the circus in Rochdale, is the s...tarting point.
The circus master, Britain’s first black big top boss, staged an 1843 show in Rochdale featuring renowned acrobat William Kite.
Research into Rochdale’s circus places, performers, stories and memories will feed into a performance, displays and a brochure. Young researchers over 10 years are needed. They will visit the local history collection, Manchester Museum of Science and Sheffield’s archive of fairground and circus.

Its our final showing of our most recent performance 'Generations'
Showing at 2pm with a running time of 1 hour, so if your a footy fan, don't worry you wont miss the match!😉 You could make a full day out and go and enjoy the football over in some of the pubs and bars at the Lowry.

All the staff are friendly approachable and trustworthy. They have bags of enthusiasm and patience when working with your children



My 2 sons look forward to Wednesday night's and so do I. I love the smiles and laughter and little personalities they both have whilst learning circus skills.

Never ever pressured to participate and you are never judged on your abilities either. I absolutely love it, so does my son. Highly recommended for anyone willing to try something different.

My son Conner has attended two sessions so far and is really getting into it. I can see this being a long term or life long activity for him.

My sister attends Skylight Circus and i can just see the joy it brings to her life. The friends she's made there are like family and the staff are great role models. If that wasn't enough, i recently saw her in their latest circus performance 'Generations', and wow has she developed a real skill for aerial acrobatics. I would genuinely recommend Skylight Circus for any one looking for fun, kindness, and a 'journey'.

My daughter loves it she can’t wait for her sessions. Wonderful staff so friendly and helpful. Xx
