Sledmere Farm Shop & Cafe

The farm shop is quite small but does stock some nice quality goods. Fresh bread and a decent cheese selection. A lot of the produce is local including a selection of craft beer. A bit on the pricey side.
The cafe is good with well cooked food which once again appears to be locally sourced. Good value.

The farm shop has a great selection of goods and the staff were really lovely. The cafe was not so impressive. I am lactose intolerant and asked for the allergy information which was never given to me, I was told to ask at the counter which I did and after what I imagine was a 5 minute panic they came back and told me that, from a pretty large menu, they could do me a jacket potato with beans and that was it. However, after bobbing into the shop searching for something to eat I was surprised to see that they had a good range of free from products which included a dairy free bread. Why this didn't translate to the cafe which was all of ten steps away was really beyond me. Off I went with a gingerbread sheep which was lovely but not quite the sandwich I was looking for!

Fantastic stately home. Lots to see. The grounds are beautiful.

We popped in for a look around, while we were enroute to another venue.
The shop is well stocked with craft ale, fresh farm produce and deli counter.
The shop is spotlessly clean and well kept.

Lovely food, and delicious cakes you can take away from the cafe. Very tasty pasties in the shop and a good selection of gifts.
