Slim With Kerry

Slimming World's Oldswinford (Stourbridge) group meets every Wednesday at 3. 45pm, 5. 30pm and 7. 30pm. The group is well-recognised locally and the sessions are fun, informative and supportive.

New members are always welcome. It is not essential to make contact in advance of attending but many members agree a quick call beforehand to Kerry Morgan, group consultant, often makes walking through the door on your first week that little bit easier. Contact details are below.

All sessions follow the same format:

First 30 mins include a small-group welcome talk with Kerry for new members whilst existing members arrive, weigh in, purchase goodies from the shop, gain inspiration from the displays, grab a coffee and have a general chinwag and catch up with friends. Members also pop their small gifts of fresh fruit and veg into the "Slimmer of the Week" basket which is presented at the end of the session. Raffle tickets at 10p each or 50p a strip are also sold for a draw at the end of the session.

The following hour is Image Therapy where Kerry leads a group discussion with a weekly focus - a new product in the supermarkets, tips and hints for staying on track during the holiday season, 101 ways with eggs, etc. This is also an opportunity for members to celebrate their achievements from the previous week, gain advice from others on problems they are currently facing (eg. the lure of office cakes! ) or talk through their plans for the coming week.

Each session wraps up with the Slimmer of the Week being presented with their fruit basket and a draw of the group raffle.

Group doesn't end after the session though! We have a friendly and supportive Facebook group which is only accessible to members from our Wednesday sessions. Recipes are shared, hints and tips given and general support and ideas requested and provided.

Direct support is also offered by Kerry between sessions for the odd occassion when you really feel you need it.

The only decision you have left to make is 4pm, 5. 30pm or 7. 30pm!
