Seeing a bit of confusion on some of the unofficial SW pages so here’s a few of the real answers and if you have any other questions ask a SW Consultant rather than an unofficial page... Is my Slimming World group still running? We have no actual groups running at the moment BUT many Consultants are now running virtual groups for their members to attend as part of our new temporary package which means we can still provide Image Therapy and continue to support our members, off...ering them most of the same resources we did before we had to close our groups. Do I have to attend a virtual group to be part of the group? Absolutely not. The virtual groups are great fun and you’ll find loads of inspiration and motivation there but we know the online thing is not for everyone so, just like it was always an option to "weigh and go", that option is still there. Members can still take advantage of the new package and all it’s resources including support from their Consultant without attending the virtual groups. What’s the cost? £2.50 per week. Target members are free and the usual rules apply. Members on countdowns can still use those countdowns and each week they have left on that countdown will count as 2 weeks while we’re running this temporary package. I don’t have scales at home, can I still be part of a group? Yes! We can support you throughout this whole tricky time whether you are weighing at home or not. I’d like to come back to group...is that still possible now? We’d love you to! If you still have your pack and you just want to rejoin you can come back with no joining fees. Just give your Consultant a shout! I’ve never been before...can I join now and how much would it cost? Absolutely! Check out the SW website for a list of your local Consultants...I say local because when we get back to our proper groups you might find it easier to stay with the same group and Consultant...although right now as distance is no object you could actually join any group or Consultant you wanted to. Well it's taken us a couple of weeks to regroup and set sail again but we said we would always be here. Next week we are relaunching our groups and our new 'virtual' service. Some of you have been with us as we got to grips with it all the last couple of weeks. THANK YOU 😘 So what do you get from us now? Everything you always did!! ❤️Group is still the place to be each week. Getting ideas and support to see you through these tricky times, helping you get into new habits as we... all settle into life in lockdown, seeing your fellow members all now done virtually (just think of it like a new venue!) ❤️ Lifeline Online (your member only website) 24/7 with extra features and ideas to help you. ❤️ Access to the Slimming World App to help with choices, shopping and managing our Syns ❤️ Access to our bran new Online Shop to allow you to safely buy our hi-fis and recipe books. All this continuing as long as we need to, at a reduced membership fee of just £2.50 per week (for weekly paying members). ☆ URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT ☆
After a long, hard sleepless night and taking into consideration the advice of the Government as to "no gatherings" and also wanting to protect our members and our Consultants Slimming World as a whole company have take the heartbreaking decision to close all of our groups.
We are all truly heartbroken, but we know we would feel much worse if opening meant that this virus spread even further, to our families and vulnerable people.
... If you are currently on a countdown course, it will be placed on hold for you, or you can transfer to online membership. If you pay weekly, you will not have to rejoin when we re-open and there will be no back fees or holidays/absences used, as long as you return when we open again.
Head Office are now in talks about what else we can do or put in place to support each and every Slimming World member across the UK and Ireland.

Thank you Tracey Driver & Slimming World for helping me become 1 Stone lighter in just 7 weeks !
I've never been one for slimming groups, I had always managed to lose the weight myself when motivated to do so, but knowing I have a weigh in every week is motivation to keep on track and much easier than trying to do it myself.
I haven't stuck to plan religiously, Had one week when I gained (fresh cream chocolate eclairs, sweets, meals out and prosecco.....= plus 2lbs ! ) and ...then lost it again the following week by planning meals in advance. I still enjoy my G&T's and my wine on the weekend....and after weigh in on Wednesday I enjoy whatever I have been craving,( Syns or no Syns ! ) . but I have made changes I can live with long term, which is what it is all about really.
I remember at my first weigh in, Tracey Driver saying that I will never be that weight again, and I won't. I'm making long term changes, not a short term quick fix.
