Wow it's hard to sum up what you get from a Slimming World group in a few words!

The eating plan speaks for itself. Far too generous to be called a diet, in fact I eat more now than I did before, whatever age you are, whatever lifestyle you have; single, married, children, shift worker, university student, it works, no deprivation, never feeling hungry, normal every day meals that you, your friends & your family can enjoy.

It's what you get from the group that really makes Slimming World special. To be a Consultant you have to have been a member first and as someone who has had a weight problem from a very early age and tried so many different ways to tackle my weight, it was the understanding, the compassion, the care. . . . . that feeling that you're not in this alone. Those weeks where I was flying in my journey my Consultant and my fellow members were there to make me feel 10 feet tall, but those weeks when it was tough - because let's face it we all know that losing weight is tough - they were there to support me, help me, give me ideas, tips, strategies to cope with whatever it was that I was going through to get me back on track, we've shared laughter and tears. . . . . . . . . . . . and without them, well I never would have got to target and I wouldn't now be helping others change their lives.

If you've never given it a go. . . . . . make that step, because I promise you it is absolutely worth it. And if you've been before and it didn't work. . . . . never give up trying, I didn't crack it first time, second time, third or forth time, in fact I've lost count of the times I'd tried. . . . . if you're like me then maybe staying to group was the missing ingredient in your success, I know it was mine! When I made that time for me and my weight loss and stayed to group every single week, no matter what. . . . . . that's when I knew I'd cracked it! xx
