Visit recently had an amazing Philly steak ciabatta, staff are lovely and friendly, will be visiting again asap!! �

Staff are amazing, cheese and bacon burger is the best in town well done to the chiefs

My friends and I took the cocktail masterclass on Friday and it was fantastic- lovely cocktails really nice food and lots of fun all for £25 each very good value for money

Came in for Breakfast this morning after shopping,Had a lovely breakfast definitely value for money �

The meal was ok but not impressed that you couldnt chose a coffee as your free drink with the meal, instead i got a glass full.of ice and very little diet coke. We wasnt even asked if we wantef ice. I wont be rushing back, there are better good value places to eat on Chelmsford.

Went Saturday evening. Good offers on cocktails and loved the music! However, the toilets were disgusting! @6:30: 1st toilet no loo roll, 2nd no lock, 3rd & 4th full of dirty loo roll! @9pm: only about half the loos had loo roll.

Very poor hen party organisation during the cocktail masterclass and dissapointing communication. The manager was due to call me back and never did and I called various times and left voice messages with no response. This was a trial to see if the class can be used for corporate team bonding events for a large supermarket chain however due to poor experience another service such as the cocktail class by Revs will need to be considered.

The most stressful experience of a Friday night bar in all my life. Sound was RIDICULOUSLY too loud (at 10pm!) to the point where most of the few customers who were attempting to have a conversation were either trying to find some seats hidden far away from the speakers (good luck!) or walking back out the front door. Couldn’t hear the bar staff, my other half, or anything except the constant thump and overdone treble of the speakers. Downed my pint and left. I don’t understand how management can be so oblivious to such a poor atmosphere. The best thing about tonight was the comparative peace and quiet of Chelmsford high street. Absolutely dreadful guys.

The fact that we had to point out on the menu which food item we wanted three times to the barman and still ended up with the wrong meals only warrants 2 stars. It wasn’t even busy!

It's a shame this place used to be nice but it seems to have a feeling that the place need's a good clean the tables were Sticky and dirty service was pretty slow not the staffs fault just a few of them Saturday lunchtime and there was one member of staff on the bar quite a long wait for food even though no one was in the place food was ok but not brilliant

I have phoned several times to ask about a cocktail making class for my friends' Hen party. Been told 4 times they'd call me back, with the last person saying they absolutely promised to call me back within half an hour. That was 48 hours ago. Considering we'd be spending a good £500+ at your bar for this event, I'm stunned you don't want that money. I sure as hell would, given the chance!

But I think it’s disgusting and false advertising to advertise the 2 4 1 cocktails all day every day and still have the menus out and on ordering cocktails be told sorry it’s Christmas, no 2 4 1’s. I then tried to order a small Peroni and vodka & Diet Coke (single) and be told that will be £11 odd. The price was wrong and should have been £8.80. Hate people trying to rip off honest hard working people 😡

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING STILL NO RESPONSE FROM SLUG AND LETTUCE ABOUT OUR COMPLAINTS! Went for tipsy tea, booked for a friends birthday. sounded great on paper. In reality it was shocking! Table was filthy, food Came out on trays covered in Tin foil, obviously made in morning and left sitting around until we arrived at 2.30. Open sandwiches were in fact a slice of dry baguette, no butter and minimal topping, cheese with a slice of sundried tomato for example! Inedible. Ordered chips to bulk it out but these were soggy. No Jam for scones, had to ask, no plates or cutlery, had to ask. We were then over charged £25. Still waiting on a response from head office. (Nearly 4 weeks now!) Certainly wouldn’t book again.

Went here today and asked for 2 pints of coke (which is always over priced in any pub) but for this pub to open a multi pack of 2 litre coke and charge £6.30p for something that probably cost £1 out of a multi pack , they just didn’t bend my wallet over and spank me but also breaking trading standard laws , proper jokes

Then sold out of most of the menu, for a Sunday I would say that's pretty poor. There was 8 of us and not one of the meals were even satisfactory. I had the burrito and the chips were stale and it came out without the sauces because they had run of those too but wasn't told that before I paid. The poor waiter did try to apologise but could only do so much because there wasn't any other food to correct it with. It was the only restaurant that wasn't busy in this popular location and now we know why - awful!
