Whilst the decor leaves a little to be desired, I can honestly say I've always had a great time in this place. The cocktails are always on point, the stuff are so friendly and welcoming (especially Jon �) and the atmosphere and clientele aren't the folk you get in spoons. All in all, always worth a visit �

Started my hen do here before heading into London. Had a great lunch and amazing cocktails. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Nice chilled atmosphere.

I did my partner birthday on 21 August 2015 the 50th birthday party I will do big thank you to the manager of slug &lettuce Croydon and all employees which help that day to be perfect !

Been there quite a few times now and the staff have been really helpful. Good music, quite quick to be served, food has been lovely. Only downfall is the toilets are downstairs so that was hard when you've had a tipple ;) keep it up!

All I can say is the staff are amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. The cocktails are 2 for 1 and there is a wide variety. Chains often get a bad press but this bar is staffed by some lovely ppl xx

We had my daughters baby shower at Slug and lettuce. They provided the balloons and we had a few platters and nachos. Ghetto food was presented well and tasted good. The staff were very helpful and willing to assist with what ever you requested. All in all everyone enjoyed themselves. Only problem is that the toilets are down a few flights of stairs in the basement. However the toilets were clean and tidy.

The food service was slow, but the food was very good. Two of our party had beer in dirty glasses. Apart from the beer, I enjoyed the meal and the ambience. Would go there again.Was there with Kathleen, her daughter Lisa, my sister-in -law, Eileen, Megan her granddaughter, Mason her grandson, Connie, Lilie, Richard with his girl friend Margaret. I took 30 + photographs. Enjoyed the time there with friends an family.

Massive venue on 2 levels. Nice fun loving crowd, with good bar staff and very friendly bouncers. Starts off chilled early on then loads of peeps dancing from 1030-1am.....

Very slow bar service only 1 guy working very hard behind bar the other needed to look who was next instead if walking away and the 2 girls only served men we waited ages to get served weve been there many times and for a big bar they need to have more staff ..

I always come here on a night out with my best friend to have cocktails, came here on Xmas eve for a few cocktails, the bar staff was really rude, had an attitude...and was very unpleasant...I normally let these things slide but had to tell him not to be so rude...and it wasn't 241 when every day it normally is...

Disappointed when visiting Monday as I ordered two sharing platters only to be told they were not available.



Next time I'm in Croydon I might try again but to not have food is disappointing.

By this point the others were obviously quite upset. The cocktails weren't that nice either. They ran out of ingredients for certain cocktails.

Long wait for food and not advised, tables we're not cleared of plates or glasses for up to 3 hours and the staff one in particular was extremely moody and rude with a very bad attitude I suggest customer service training is needed ! Will not go back there in a hurry especially not to eat

Food was not as specified on the menu, staff were incredibly rude especially the team leader, and the cocktails tasted like mocktails! I did make a complaint online however funnily enough am still awaiting a response!!! Will not be going back!

There's one guy running around like a mad man serving food. Three people behind the bar serving slower than molasses. One of whom was the manager. I spoke with her briefly. Couldn't care less. The wait was about 10 minutes on a Thursday a 6. It wasn't busy. Miss this place. Apparently they have hired new staff that don't like to work.

So we have just been into this Slug & Lettuce, just arrived in London, literally the WORST service I have ever had in my life.... My girlfriend found paper at the bottom of her drink. We asked for a refund and another drink and the girl who said she was the supervisor told me that she won't do that. "It is only paper". After a few words she refunded the drink but would not give us another one. I said can I speak to the manager and again she said no he won't speak to me and that she is in charge. Her attitude was disgusting, she obviously didn't care in the slightest about what happened. I asked for a refund and she said no we have ate our food. I said no we have only eaten starters, then she stormed off and got the refund for our mains, which she took her time to do... then she spilt the rest of my drink all of the table and just walked of with again with no apology. I worked in the Slug & Lettuce in Manchester and I know this is not usual practice there or anywhere else for that matter. Please can somebody contact me with the details of head office ASAP. This is totally unacceptable.

Rude bar staff, no atmosphere, cold food and to top it all the lights didn't work? We were ignored when we turned up despite booking a table for 14 - none of the staff took responsibility or even said sorry - spent approx £300 in 3 hours but never got an apology or even cutlery at the table? Crazy bad service please avoid ....

Really disappointed with the service last weekend. Staff were slow, the drinks arrived differently each time and some were barely drinkable. At about quarter to 1 I went to the bar and asked if we were still ok to buy drinks, and I was told it was fine. As it's 2 for 1 I got 2 cocktails and 2 pints. 10 minutes later we were told very rudely to hurry up and get out. (5 to 1 seems like an odd time to close!) By 1am we were hounded until we finished up. I still had a full pint so when I'd finished I headed to the door only to find we had been locked in. The bouncer then watched us try to get out for a while before coming over and being very threatening before allowing us to leave. The whole time we were polite and just trying to have a good evening. Not happy at all.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!!.The absolute worst bar in Croydon! waited an hour for a Ciabiatta..service appalling...no staff apart from the useless ones. Terrible food too when it did arrive..bland and cold..and we ordered 48 hours in advance and they still managed to mess up the order, serving a beef burger as as a veggie burger and nort accepting their mistake when approached. No apologies whatsover..like it or lump it attitude. We all work at a well known insurance company in Croydon and certainly will not be returning for any social events or indeed business lunches. Just embarrassing. Plenty more places to go to. They can obviously afford to lose the Custom!
