Emma and her team delivered and delivered again for our wedding reception on Thursday 29 March!

A fantastic afternoon tea and an amazing evening buffet; our dedicated bar staff were brilliant and we had such a memorable night - everyone commented how lovely the evening was.

We had an afternoon tea, the food, cocktails and service were fantastic, it was a lovely treat for my mum and I would highly recommend coming.

We had a fantastic afternoon here. The cocktails were really good.

The decor and music was great.

One little attention to detail was we spent £90 over the afternoon with two bottles of mumm champagne( for a special occasion) the table we were sat on was slapped with a reservation.

That's fine but maybe an offer of alternate seating would have been a nice gesture/ customer service..We all count!

Literally had the most amazing service here today! Was out with a friend for birthday drinks and she requested a custom cocktails for my birthday! And what he created was stunning! My favourite flavour is cherry so had an amazing cocktail made with strawberries, dolly necklace, real cherries and even a sparkler! Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Very thankful

I feel there's a lot of unfair criticism on the reviews about slow service. If you want to be served in matter of seconds, go to Wetherspoons where everything is pre made and tastes like water. At the Slug and Lettuce every staff member is trained to a high standard and make each cocktail from scratch. Fabulous staff, beautiful decor and polite door staff every weekend. The food is incredible and I love the sharing platter selections. Wonderful place! And the BSP shot girls that work there selling Jager Bombs are great fun and really polite. ���

Good decor, great staff, good choice of drinks it's not pricey and the food is edible and displayed nicely. Oh and not forgetting the fantastic deals.

Visited a couple of times in the last few days and both were excellent. Great service, fantastic cocktails (Pornstar Martini🍸) and really good food. Will definitely be returning soon.

My friends and I sat and had a lovely chilled out afternoon/evening for 5 hours yesterday... during that time we ordered food 3 times between us and it came out within 5 minutes every time! Drink service is a little slow, but 2 for 1 cocktails do take a bit longer I suppose. Turn down the aircon slightly (as we had to keep our coats on) and I would have given 5 stars!

2 for 1 cocktails, sat in the sun what is there not to like! Outside area kept clean and the empty glasses quickly removed.

Went to have a drink in the sun and was disappointed when ordering my second round of drinks was charged £1.00 more than the first round. I asked why this was and was told that I had been given a dearer drink even though I had watched them pour the drink from same peroni tap. If they do this to every person look at how they fleece of people. The person who served me didn't even care. This stopped me from having any food there as didn't want to be ripped off for more. Ok it was only £1 but it's the principle behind it. Also the tables were full of dirty glasses and napkins and food on the floor. I would not go again. They need to show a clear price for their drinks so it can be seem by all and to stop ripping people off

Went here yesterday with my friend and ordered a tikka masala for me and fish and chips for my son, wasn’t any better than whetherspoons so we were disappointed, the cocktails were overpriced if you go in the bank you can get 2 for 1 for like 6/7 pound. Really nothing special this place. Bring back the Berkeley

Very disappointed arrive at 9:45pm last evening and refused hot drinks!! When the lovely bar man asked the supervisor if he could make us some she looked at us gave us a filthy look and stated NO! Very disappointed in this type of service, surely an nationwide establishment such as The Slug and Lettuce would accommodate for non drinkers�

Today was the second occasion where I have been for food in a large group (8) and the food has been disappointing. The afternoon tea was delivered on platters for us to share and I felt for the price paid there wasn't enough food, a baguette sliced with a topping does not equal a sandwich as described. Once again disappointed!!!

Thank god for Stevie who is by far the best bar staff you have, it took me over 40 minutes to get A drink last night shocking for my first time going there I deffo wouldn’t go again another member of the bar staff was so rude I was taken aback by his attitude, he shouldn’t work with the public cos he has no social skills whatsoever!! ☺️

Phoned last Thursday to book afternoon tea for a friend’s Birthday. Spoke to a lovely lady who said that she would check the availability and call me straight back - she never did. Friday morning I sent a message on Facebook explaining I didn’t receive a call back and got a prompt message back saying that nobody was in until 10am but would check the booking and get straight back to me - but nobody did. Sent a further message in the afternoon asking for an update, but my message was read and ignored. My friend also phoned and left a message but did not hear anything back either. We were very disappointed! However, this was a huge blessing in disguise as in the end we ended up going to Langdon Court for afternoon tea instead - beautiful view, outstanding service and the best afternoon tea in Plymouth without a doubt. Would highly recommend - thanks Slug & Lettuce for not getting back to us!!!

Drinks are about £1000... but if you’re loaded it’s fine. Bar wait is about an hour! Absolutely rediculous! Will not come here again! Never disappointed with the establishment! The bartender that was serving drinks before us spilled 2/6 drinks and had to remake them. Do you even train them? Underpouring shots before attempting to pour the underpoured shot into the glass and half going everywhere from bouncing off the ice! It’s a joke paying so much for a basically no alcoholic drink!

Booked a table for a party of 13 and told only a booth table was available but was assured this wouldn't be a problem. Was then asked to put a £50 deposit which was fine and I confirmed this could be used as a bar tab. Upon arrival was told there was no booking and staff showed me the list and I found the name for the booking on there immediately myself. Was then showed to the table and there was enough space for 8 comfortably but even 10 people would have made it cramped let alone 13! Food came out all at different times which was a blessing in disguise as no way would all the meals have fitted on the tiny table. However as there were no stools provided for the side of the table with no bench seat we had to stand up and eat our food. If that wasn't enough when I tried ordering off the bar tab (£50 deposit) I was told there wasn't one. 20 minutes and several staff later it was finally sorted but only after I showed the confirmation email multiple times. Food was nice but ended up clearing the table myself once everyone had finished as noone came to the plates etc away, we waited an hour once everyone was finished before doing so to give the staff time.

I know first and foremost this is not a restaurant but I expected better service, especially given the deposit needed to reserve the table.

Wow!! If I could give more than five stars, I would!!
