We booked a table for cocktails and nibbles to celebrate our daughters 21st Birthday ���� we had a brilliant night. they were gonna go off to Ashley cross at 10 but decided to stay we had the tall long table we felt very well cared for the service was exceptional we had Sharing platters which were very good and to top it off we had two complementary bottles of processco with a sparkler for the birthday girl x I lost definitely recommend for a small group of people celebrating a birthday � Thankyou to the staff X

My friend and I had lunch on Tuesday 12th December.

The decor was lovely , I liked the different types of seating area.

For lunch we both had the smothered chicken burger and skinny chips with a lovely cold pint of beer.

Amazing value for money at £7.00.

The food was superb and beautifully presented.

The staff were welcoming and the food was served within 15 minutes.

Would definetly recommend you as I already have to my friends.

Having recently enjoyed our Xmas party, yet again the staff were amazing the service fantastic and food great! Thank you to all the team, we had a great evening as always and will certainly be back soon!

A Massive Shout out to the Manager of the Poole Branch who sorted out a reserved area for my partner’s leaving do with very short notice! Also a massive thanks to all the team who made our evening special! Super fast and excellent cocktails with amazing food! Thank you everyone! Highly recommended, sorry I can’t remember your names! ��

We went in for a late lunch whilst visiting Poole,we had a share platter,thought would be enough for two,turned out more than enough,but we dived in and with a lager and a real ale to wash it down we had a great meal.Service from ordering to delivering to our table was great, there was decorating coming on in the restaurant but it didn't affect our enjoyment.

We have been to the slug and lettuce Poole for the last few years for family cocktails on Christmas Eve. And while we have had great service and good fun. We were rather disappointed that the cocktails were not two for one, even though on the drinks menu it was stated they were two for one all day every day. And no where did it state that Christmas Eve and New year Eve where exception. But on getting to the bar and ordering the cocktails the barmaid politely stated that Christmas Eve and New Years Eve were not included in the two for one offer unlike previous years

This we feel was disappointing as we would have loved to stay there instead of moving on. But £42.00 a round for five people is a bit much.

However we did enjoy our drinks and the time there.

The food was good when it arrived and fairly reasonably priced. Saturday teatime service was poor - we waited 45 minutes for our food when the food area wasn't that busy.



Do bear in mind that this place is primarily a pub and the locals can get exuberant so if it's quiet dining you are looking for then there are plenty of other places further down the High Street.

Recently refurbished looks good. 16 of us booked for cocktail making. Area laid out beautifully, looked great. Need a foot bar around cocktail table for comfort. £25 for prosecco on arrival, 2 cocktails, jager' train and food. Connor and Tyler, our hosts for the evening were great, knew their stuff and were really attentive. The food was really, really good. Plenty to go around and the selection was excellent one veggie in the group was very well catered for. I definitely recommend, great fun & excellent value. General manager came to chat at end of evening, she was lovely too. Only one downside is speed of service at the bar. Bar staff seem to have no urgency about them, a little frustrating but everything else was great!! Thank you for a fun nigh 😁

Good for quick casual dining! Reasonably priced food and good variety offered. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food ordered was served promptly and it was nice and hot. We have dined here on several occasions when dropping our daughter back to Uni, perfect for a quick meal and cocktail!

Enjoyed the cocktails when we were eventually served. Stood at bar for ages before we were served seemed to be ignored both times. Then couldn't believe at one point there was No barstaff behind bar for at least 2 minutes!

Wouldn't recommend anyone coming here on a week night, as they had two waitresses on, so service was rubbish. Drinks got brought to our table on a tray and we had to serve them out to each other, as the tray just got dumped. Also had to clear our own table from all the plates and empty glasses. No one came to check everything was ok, and when food got brought out, we didn't get asked if any of us needed anymore drinks...

Food brought out at different times so we didn't get to eat together. Smothered chicken came with large bone sticking out of it. Not usually what you expect when ordering a chicken breast. The so called salad of cress and tomato was brown and old!

Cool reception when we arrived at the bar, when we asked if they had 'dry' cider it was like we had asked for something out of the ordinary? Confused we asked if we could try a cider (which was dry) but the staff didn't know? I wouldn't risk one of their cocktails unless they are bought in!!

Went in for a meal today ordered starters and mains starters came and fine inbetween finishing starters 50mins passed and nothing asked at the til and was refunded as the order was never put through .... avoid avoid ... huge waste of time
