Lovely service , and very relaxing near waterfront .

Lovely place, next to the river lovely views and food too, not too busy aswell.

I love this place and every Saturday I go there from London to stains :)

Excellent location right on the river. Quick, prompt, friendly service. Food hot and plentiful.

Very well located restaurant, beautiful decor, I have ordered the sea bass and it was beautiful, my husband ordered fish and chips and he said was good too. I had a very good experience there.

I loved our classy hen do night there! We were able to have food in the bar area which was perfect, it tasted amazing and the drinks were great - 2 for 1 cocktails all night! The bartenders joined into our games so we had so much fun with them. Super tasteful room layout too. Highly recommendable!

Great setting & decor! Only negative was the managers attitude when we asked if we could have the music a little louder to dance. Fail to understand why there is a DJ if you cannot dance

I love the slugs new make over, the decor is great and love the cocktail area. The major issue with the slug is their supply problem! Every time I go in there they have run out of food which makes the menu very small and hardly anything to choose from. I went on Sunday for a baby shower and they had no prosseco or coffee it left 20 woman not happy and they knew we were coming as had reserved an area for it. A lot of the cocktails have proseco in and they had run out of some spirits so again only half the menu available!

So Saturday evening thought it would be nice on a date a cocktail a long the river on a nice summer evening but was told by bouncer after getting my drinks that we could not sit outside after 9 had I been told this as I entered or at the bar I would have bothered going in .

So on a nice summer evening was stuck indoors where it was stuffy with loud music that you couldn't here yourself think or speak was very disappointed

Half the menu wasn't available and we also had issues with the cocktails because some of the products weren't available including mint!! With a supermarket just across the road I would have thought this could be easily rectified. We also asked if the air con could be turned down because we were freezing! Apparently not because its automatic??!! My first experience of a Slug and Lettuce and have to say will probably be my last!

We chose this venue as quite large , about 15 friends , 2 from Australia who we hadn't seeen for some time . Lunchtime Sunday.

They ran out of gas and were unable to poor fraught beer and mixers , as hour later and the bottled lager had all gone too ! 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon .

We did suggest they borrowed some from another local pub which they didn't consider !

Left and moved on !!

The slug and lettuce in Staines is the worse one! The bar staff is so disorganised and rude! The guys are working in bad mood and very unhappy! If you are planning to go there to have fun you'll be disappointed.

Rated one because I have to give a star ! God awful place ! Apparently no matter when you stand at the bar staff decide who gets served next ! Rude ignorant horrible manners and wouldn’t recommend for a drink to my worst enemy ! Shockingly bad service and staff to match

Never again. Service not good and food was greasy and not nice. We order 8 “small plates”. The chilli prawns did not have chilli on and were tasteless. We mentioned it to the waiter who asked the chef who said it was v mild for health and safety reason haha ridiculous. 1st time I’ve been served calamari with ketchup dip, horrible. Chicken v dry. Really just not nice. £10 deposit to book a table and they want my credit card details for the £10, email phone number, postcode lol. Showed to table on arrival and was not told to order at bar so sat wondering what to do and no staff in sight. Had to queue at bar with those ordering drinks. V bad table service. Was not asked if we want desert. Its tacky, noisy, bad unprofessional service and awful food.

My husband & I visited for some food, we ordered the platter which was served on dirty kitchenware & plates, half the food missing.

When we asked about the chicken it came out looking raw & the presentation was shocking.

I have emailed the company to make them aware & have never received a reply.

Very disappointed, would never visit again

Guy goes in to a bar and orders a Harvy Wallbanger. Bartender says sorry but it's not on the menu. Guy says but you have all the ingredients, I can see them from here. Bartender says if it's not on the menu we can't serve it and walks off

Guy asks for 2 B52's, bartender guesses how to make this and cannot remember the recipe. Guy says you layer in this order Kaluha, Bailey's and Grand Mariner. Manager hears the guys comments and builds the shooter in the wrong order without layering. Guy says what's this? Manger replies it's a B52. Guy says no they are not, please could you make them again? Manager replies that's the last time we will be serving you.



This is no joke, find a new manager

Fucking worst place ever, guy kicked through my best friends toilet door and bouncers did nothing about it...and we were served drinks at last order which were then taken from us about 5 minutes later!! Bouncers are an absolute bunch of dickheads and ye really need to reconsider ur staff choices! Any other staff I couldn't fault just ur security staff

Absolutely fuming with the place. I ordered the veggie stuff and got a burger which was almost like made out of concrete. I nearly broke a fork on it. Then I got another veggie burger after taking it back and I ended up with food poisoning.
