**** VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES **** Are you looking to work with horses? And are you a caring and compassionate looking to improve people lives?? If so then this is the job for you 😊 Over 18 only due to lone working.... Must have previous experience working with horses.
Due to one of our helpers at Small Strides leaving we are currently looking for a new volunteer to help out with general yard duties on weekends
YARD HELPER - Weekends- general yard duties, mucking out, field maintenance and grooming, feeding the horses.
We are located in Beach, Lansdown. Must have own transport due to the location of the yard.

Good news everyone Blue is going to be ok. the vet found infected corns in his heels so he's had his shoes taken off and his feet are poulticed and he's on some anti-inflammatory is to help 🥰

As it has been so hot here today we thought we treat the horses to a bath and stay out of the sunshine and do some arts and crafts.
One of our clients completed his memento horseshoes along with designing a poster of his time here at Small Strides and how being around the horses made him feel 💗
A massive thank you to the CIAO Foundation for awarding this young boy with the Primrose Award and giving him the opportunity to participate in our 12-week therapeutic program, and make a positive impact in his life 😁

A morning working from home catching up on reports, printing certificates, organising referrals & planning activity days for the summer 💗

I have kept this quiet as it hasn't really sunk in until now as ive had a lot of other things going on.
So a few months ago I applied for a career scholarship to train with Pat & Linda Parelli on the Secret of All 4 Savvys Course on their ranch in Florida..
2weeks ago I got an email saying that my application has been approved and I have been granted the career scholarship.
... I will be leaving the beginning of November for 4 weeks to train & volunteer out there. This is a huge opportunity for me and great that I will be able to bring back some new skills to the centre to incorporate in my work I do here with the horses & clients.
I want to say a huge thank you to all my clients, friends and family who have supported & encouraged me on my journey over the last 6 years and giving me the belief to follow and live my dream of not only working with & helping horses but to be able to use my own horses in therapy to make a difference in other people's lives.
