Vintage Americana choreography Series: 1960's/70's style!
Inspired by and in reverence to the Bal Anat 50th Anniversary Tour, Anna is teaching a choreography paying homage to the fabulous American Bellydance style and attitude of the 1960's and 70's! ​ Over the course of 3 weeks dancers will learn the choreography which is a mini version of the standard 15+ minute set incorporating finger cymbals, veil wrap and tricks to a funky piece of old school music. Odissi Dance Course at SWC starts tonight!

Extend your technique! Challenge your skill set! Realize your dance potential!
This course was developed for everyone with an existing foundation in bellydance technique. *Please Note - Beginners and dancers who want to review their basic technique should attend the 3 week Level 1 Intensive October 14-28*
... Develop technical excellence in bellydance through higher level training with dancers from intermediate through advanced level. Dancers of all levels will be given challenges and concepts specifically tailored to their journey. Students should be prepared to focus on themselves as well as the space they hold in a class and be ready to inspire and be inspired!
All classes include a strong warm up followed by technical drills developed for isolation, coordination and endurance. The end of every class will be focused on either choreography, improvisation or performance skills (All of these key concepts of bellydance will be explored within the framework of the course)
*Finger cymbal patterns will be given to dancers from level 2 up so make sure to bring yours!*

Learn the Salimpour movement breakdown and drills to get your body prepped and primed for dancing at a higher level (extra layers will be included for higher level dancers).

Might be a small world....but we are lucky to have the most skilled, knowledgeable, talented, inspiring and amazing bellydance teacher in the UK on our door step........ If anyone wants to take their bellydancing to a higher level it can only happen with Anna's guidance. I wish I met her years ago....... Best thing that happened to me on a bellydance level as well as professional level. :)

I am so so thankful to have been Anna's dance student for several years until I left the country. I am not a gifted dancer but Anna is a very inspiring, encouraging teacher who is able to get her students to understand what they are doing, how and why they are doing it. She is also strict but classes are still full of fun.



Furthermore, Anna also organises many workshops and performances so that we have opportunities to watch and learn more about other amazing dancers and musicians. I therfore strongly recommend this centre to you, who will always be welcomed in open arms. :)
