#sfwproject Contact us and we will custom build wardrobes to suit your needs. Hinged door mirror wardrobe not only adds a glamorous vibe to your living room, but also helps you save on a lot of space. The design in this fitted wardrobe does a great job at making your room look even more spacious. This happens due to the wall reflections that you see in the mirror, that help create an illusion of a wider room space.

[Project] Look at this glamorous shelving. Warm veneer with gold borders looks so stylish. The shelving unit is a great idea to decorate an empty wall in your room, also to get an additional storage for some crystal glasses, vases or souvenirs. There’s also a white bottom buffet to put something important in to get it for dinning. #sfwfurniture

[Project] Presenting completed loft storage with sliding mirror doors. This cabinet is about style and convenience. Here we used two finishes: dark chocolate veneer for the carcass and grey matte inside. Drawers and doors are equipped with soft closing mechanisms that makes it so comfortable to use. The mirror doors hiding the unit from your eyes, but there is a huge space for all sorts of stuff. #sfwfurniture

"Cabinets of curiosities" define rooms in art collector's apartment by MOS✨ Deep walls with built-in storage are designed to accommodate an expansive collection of art objects at this renovated apartment by New York City-based MOS Architects. The residence contains a master suite, an office that can be used as a guest room, and an open-concept social space that includes the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Interior partitions were built 16 inches (40 centimetres) deep, ...creating large shelves within which art can be stored or displayed. Within the living room, two large display cases allow the client to put specific objects on view. They were built in light-coloured wood, contrasting the white finish of the walls. Because the office and living room are connected, a curtain runs continuously between them, unifying the separate areas. Particular attention was paid to materials used for the intervention. The kitchen counter, for example, is made of a pale marble that also forms a large backsplash reaching up to the ceiling. The expansive counter surface also doubles as an informal eating area for the residents. At the end of the hall, the master bedroom has its own ensuite, which is finished with white marble. Another storage wall separates this area from the bed. MOS was one of the firm's that contributed an alternative vision for the famous Tribune Tower competition, on show at this year's Chicago Architecture Biennial. Other projects by the firm include a floating house on Canada's Lake Huron, and a series of angular buildings for an arts school in Denmark. Source: DEZEEN #sfwinspire

De-clutter the wardrobe stuff and start a new life 😎 Getting started on decluttering is the first step to use your wardrobe properly. Begin by taking everything out of your closet and sorting it. Have a box for the thrift shop and another for anything that might sell online. Be ruthless—if you haven't worn it or used it in the last year, you're not likely to, so ditch it in favor of something you will wear. Make sure that the items you keep are things you really like and will use. Then you can think about where to store everything. Source: Familyhandyman #sfwlearn

[Project] Here you can see a totally bespoke hidden study unit. It is perfect for small room, completed with some drawers inside the unit. The matte grey finish we choose for its design looks minimalistic and perfectly matches room's interior. #sfwfurniture

Continuing speaking about reclaiming wardrobe space. Do keep everything visible 👀 There's nothing more frustrating when you're in a rush than rooting through a pile of T-shirts or sweaters to find the one you want (which is always at the bottom!). If you're storing them on shelves, stack them like a shop display or roll and pack into a cubbyhole so you can see each shirt instantly. Fold and stack them vertically in a drawer for instant recognition. And why not install closet lighting so you can see even more clearly? Source: Familyhandyman #sfwlearn

The Right Wardrobe For Your Bedroom 🛏 The two most important things in a bedroom are the bed and the wardrobe. For the first one, finding the right balance of style and comfort is easy. As for the second one, things are a little different. There are lots of things to take into consideration before choosing a design or a style. - If you prefer the room to look clean and simple, then you can opt for a compact design which hides everything inside. Just figure out the right compa...rtmentalization. You should include a large space for hangers, a few shelves for folded up clothes, drawers for small items and accessories and perhaps even a few secret compartments. - All these compartments can remain hidden behind large sliding doors or panels. This way the design remains minimalist and you can use the opportunity to play with colors and shapes when decorating the rest of the room. - To save space in the room, instead of dedicating an empty wall to your wardrobe, you can custom design the cabinetry around the windows. Take this opportunity to also include one or two cozy window nooks and reading corners. - Consider mirrored doors for your wardrobe if you want the room to look a little more spacious and open or if you simply want the surface to reflect the beautiful views outside. Here’s a design with a symmetrical structure and a mirrored door at the center. - All of the variations presented above are nice options for those of you who prefer the usual closet space in the bedroom. But there’s also another possibility. Instead of hiding everything behind closed doors, you can opt for open storage. In this case, you’d be displaying all your clothes and accessories on hanging rods and shelves. You can, of course, mix and match designs and styles and also include a few drawers. This type of storage can be an interesting option for a casual bedroom or for a small room where a regular closet would occupy too much space. Source: HOMEDIT #sfw #sfwlearn

Not enough space for storage? Use your loft! Here we completed a hidden shelving covered sliding doors. We choose white color to have this storage almost invisible, it's a part of the wall. This is a good idea it you have kids - something can take place on this shelves and nobody will know about it. #sfw #sfwproject

HOW BIG SHOULD A WARDROBE BE? 😯 As big as you need! But no bigger than you can fit in your room. If you have a small bedroom, you of all people should know how precious floor space is. So think up. Stop wasting floor space, and start thinking vertically. You will want to accurately measure the space where you would want the wardrobe to go. Make a note of both the ideal minimum and maximum width, depth and height. This will come in handy for when you are browsing wardrobes as ...you can immediately disregard any that fall a little short or far from your ideal measurements. Also it is important to make sure that you have enough space to comfortably stand in front of the wardrobe and open the doors and drawers. Again, if you have a smaller bedroom, sliding doors work a treat as they don't swing outward. HOW TO BUY A WARDROBE THAT MATCHES MY BEDROOM?🤓 Many people are conscious of buying a wardrobe that matches the rest of their bedroom furniture. If not completely, at least so it doesn't look too out of place. For example, you wouldn't buy an antique armoire elegantly stood tall on cabriole legs if the rest of your bedroom is quite contemporary in its style. Unless you are experimenting with ironic design and brave (or quirky!) enough to be playing with contrasting décor styles. But for the majority of wardrobe buyers, you'd probably just like your wardrobe to "go" with everything else. Take a look at the rest of your bedroom furniture. If you notice a lot of oak, your safest choice would be an oak wardrobe. If you notice a lot of pine, your safest choice would be a pine wardrobe. You should also consider the finish of your bedroom furniture. #sfw #sfwlearn

WARDROBE BUYING GUIDE: How to choose a wardrobe? 🤔 Choosing the right wardrobe for your bedroom is essential. But before you start looking at new wardrobes, take a look at your old. Shopping for a new wardrobe is an opportunity to solve old problems. Why buy a new wardrobe if it isn't an upgrade from the old one? Ask yourself questions like: • Do I need more shelf space? • Do I need more hanging space?... • Should I get a taller wardrobe? • Could I do with a couple of drawers? Depending on your preference of clothing storage, you may decide that you need more space to hang your clothes than you do space to fold them. Different combinations of interior storage space are available with all sizes of wardrobes. Choosing a modular wardrobe allows you the flexibility in mixing and matching shelves, drawers and hang rail length to suit you. Source: FRANCEHUNT #sfw #sfwdaily #sfwlearn
