24 hr postural care program to help prevent body shape distortion by prescribing simple comfortable solutions and help prevent long-term complications

Independent advanced occupational and physiotherapist working to provide comfortable , supportive, restorative and rehabilitative 24 hrs Postural Care to all.

We aim to:

-To challenge the assumption that body shape distortion is inevitable for people with multiple disabilities or movement difficulties

-To raise awareness of the issues around protecting body shape, the serious consequences for people if this isn’t done, and current best practice. ( got my back-a national conference)

- All people with multiple disabilities to get the specialist support they need to protect their body shape, 24 hours a day. this may include wheelchairs, standing frames and night time positioning aids including sleep-systems.


-Work closely with client, family, carer team, case mangers, solicitors nurses and therapy team to incorporate postural care and promote body shape protection to enhance rehab potential.
