This mornings view (from the office) of the play paddock with Pocklington Woods in the distance. Should the weather change this week... we have plenty indoors to keep your little ones entertained with our indoor soft play area as well as our ‘paint a pot’ activity which is great fun for all the family !

The cafe is open today from 9 until 2, we are closing a little earlier for a party ! There are still a couple of dates available in March for any last minute celebrations #potteryparties #softplayparties

Inside or outside this holiday ? This beautifully settled weather has allowed us to open the outside play area as it’s dried up nicely ! Plenty of ways to run off a bit of steam. Happy Half Term 😊

You need to be hungry ! 6oz butcher burger topped just melted creamy blue cheese, served on a bed of crispy salad, in a warmed ‘red onion marmalade laced ciabatta bun. Yum 😊

Did you know that in The Mile, Pocklington you can have your passport photograph taken in our mini studio? It can be quite stressful for parents and also a challenge to get a shot that is to the standard required, thankfully we are experts ! The great thing is you can have a coffee and relax in the cafe until your little one is on the best form possible. No appointments are necessary, just call in. Look at this little beauty from today 😊

We just had our daughter's 1st birthday party at the cafe. I would highly recommend Smile cafe for parties. The staff worked really hard and the food was great. All the children had loads of fun on the soft play.

We held our daughter's 2nd Birthday party at Smile Cafe and it was PERFECT!



The whole party ran smoothly and this was down to the organisation of the staff! The food was fresh and plentiful! There was even spare food for the adults to nibble on. The softplay was clean and perfect for our age of children (we had a range from 1 to 4).



We were allowed to use the outdoor play area after the party and we spent another hour exploring the play equipment.



I would highly recommend Smile Cafe for a 2nd Birthday Party!

We had our daughters 1st Birthday here at the weekend. It was amazing. The staff did a brilliant job and all children had a lovely time on the soft play equipment or painting a pot. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting somewhere special for a party. I couldn't of wished for a better day for my daughter. Thank you so much x

We had my little boy's 1st Birthday party here yesterday and we had a great time. The staff were so accomdating and friendly. They had thought of everything so we could enjoy the party with everyone else knowing things were taken care of. Food was plentiful and fresh. The room and softplay was the ideal size. We have been to the cafe before so knew what to expect but the party still exceeded our expectations, mainly down to the staff - thank you so much, a lovely time had by all. We'll be back again soon! X

The best play cafe by a mile. Immaculately clean, friendly and accommodating staff and a fantastic selection of quality, freshly prepared food and healthy snacks for even the fussiest of Toddlers. They have fresh cakes and amazing coffee. Everything is cooked to order, beautifully presented and deliciously tasty. There's an Outdoor play area with plenty of ride ons for when the weather is nice. And a well stocked farm shop to buy food for your tea on the way out.

Really lovely place. Couldn't recommend it enough. The ladies serving in the cafe were so friendly and made us feel super comfortable, and couldn't do enough for us.

Really enjoyed our late lunch with my two daughters and grand daughter Felicity Aiofe! Food was amazing even if Felicitys sausage sarnie arrived a little later than the other stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful and very apologetic that Felicity was served slightly later than us. Food was hot great quality presented beautifully. What is not to like! Will return definitely .

May even buy some of the delicious looking gin that's for sale in the shop! ( my guilty pleasure)

Nice range of meals and snacks, great for little ones to tootle round while you can relax yet easily keep eye on them. Personally, also, I think that there is something for even fussy eaters

Lovely cafe with very friendly staff! Nice to be able to have a cuppa and watch your children play without losing them! We will definitely be back!

I have been here over the past year many times with my one year old daughter. Always friendly and helpful staff including the owners. Homemade cooked food really good value. Went to a party here too which was really nice astomphere (as whole place rented out just for the child's birthday party). My daughter loves it and she enjoyed it on today's visit as had the whole soft play to herself (we did go at 9am!)

Having recently moved and discovering here, it's now a firm favourite inside and out. Safe areas to play and let the kids have fun while I enjoy a coffee! We walk but plenty of parking is a bonus if we feel lazy one day.

Good selection of local Yorkshire produce in the farm shop and nice, clean cafe with added bonus of a small soft play room for us parents with children 0-5 and also small play area outside.

We've become regulars here. Prices pretty average for a local farm shop and cafe.

Not cheap nor is it too pricey.

Amazing!!

We always go with our boys 2years and 4 and a half. We can sit, relax, have a pot of tea and sometimes a bite to eat.

This afternoon we had our sons 2nd birthday there. Great value for money, all the children and parents loved it and the food, service and hospitality was excellent. Great little place to take the children. The party was over so quickly because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Thank you Smiles Cafe for making our sons 2nd birthday a stress free event xx

Always great food, good service, the kids love to play.. brilliant place to take little ones so lucky to have it on our doorstep!

After recently moving to the area we had our first and definitely not last visit to the smile cafe on Tuesday, we had a warm welcome, the staff members are lovely and couldn't do enough for us, the tea and cake were wonderful and my little ones thoroughly enjoyed the play areas inside and out!

A great party venue, great homemade food excellent value and a hassle free party and an amazing birthday cake made for my little boys third Birthday!

Well where do I begin it’s the 3rd time I’ve been with my granddaughter Amelia once with my daughter, Amelia’s mummy once with my husband Amelia’s grandpa,then yesterday with my friend, well all going well had tea & tea cake bought a bun for Amelia spent £5 then had lunch spent around £10 Amelia is a very poor eater so where ever we go we take what we hope she will eat!!! As I said it’s our 3rd visit with her nibbles! However yesterday all change I was told that it’s not allowed to bring her food in as it’s the idea you buy the food there,yes understand that, remember we has spent £15 !!! The bun we bought Amelia she didn’t eat nothing new there,I’ve been there when it’s so busy with lots of mums feeding babies/toddlers with food they had brought!!! I was so annoyed but kept my cool, What happens when you child has a special diet ect!!! Seriously I’m beyond words will I go again Never!!! also my Daughter won’t as she has enough stress with Amelia & food without this small minded owner, who had the front to say that!!!! Lots of places to take Amelia
