The sixth restaurant in the Smith & Western group opened in March 2012, set in the beautiful Tilgate Park with views of the stunning lakes, lawns and gardens with miles of woodland and bridleways for long leisurely walks. This restaurant has an impressive barn exterior which sits proudly at the top of the park overlooking the main park. When you walk through the doors you will be impressed with the amazing features inside, including life size wagons, horses and an impressive... western town which has it's own a hotel and stable. And remember the sheriff is always around, so be careful as you don't want to get thrown into jail. As always the menu will blow you away with thick juicy steaks, famous BBQ ribs, sizzling fajitas and our classic nachos to mention just a few of our good ole classics. You are sure to have a darn good time, so saddle up real soon and join the stampede to the new and exciting Smith & Western in Tilgate Park, heck you can make a whole day of it!!

What amazing and compassionate service from Claire and Laura this evening. I really appreciated your time and understanding after explaining our difficult week. It takes special caring people to understand grief and the need for a bit of normality. It is however a shame that management saw fit to interrupt Laura and tell her to move on. With all due respect it wasn't very busy and she was being polite and talking with me not shirking her responsibilities.

Management should recognise good staff before their good staff find better managers...

New menu changes are great, had the £30 steak on the bone and it was perfect. But dear but seeing as it was so good I can’t really complain. Served by the nicest girl, she made the meal extra special for us. Even the Chefs came out to see us out! Best food of all the branches

I was totally in my element being a huge country & western fan , The staff were all lovely . Quite expensive but the food was quality. Deffo will be going back.

Went in there Sunday afternoon, stood at the bar for about 10 minutes watching about 4 chaps prancing around behind the bar, didn’t look like they were serving anyone else, then one of them said, yes mate , ordered bottle beer and two cokes. he spent several moments tossing two glasses on the air, dropping one in the process, then filled the coke glasses with ice cubes then put the coke in, so hardly any coke in there, my two boys finished it in one go!Teach your staff to ask if they want ice at time of ordering and not just fill up glasses to the top with ice.Its put me off going there.

Went for a meal today for my birthday, there was 6 of us, service was slow but the waitress was lovely and helpful, my dad had steak which was so tough he couldn’t eat it so we told the waitress who got us a new steak which was the same and my dad couldn’t eat it, just disappointing but the waitress couldn’t have been more helpful.

Family of 10 of us went.

The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and had banter, belly buster birthday surprise was excellent, the staff would get 5stars, food was ok, we had a gluten free burger that was mixed up with a normal burger, one dish had a normal chips, but ended up with sweet potato fries, think the staff could be more trained with allergens by the smith and western management, but ending on a positive it had the best gluten free menu I’ve ever seen.

Was never told would be charged nearly £15 for a birthday ice cream which definitely spoilt the occasion. Felt ripped off and feel this should be confirmed before being presented at the child’s table. Not happy

Four of us called into this establishment on Sunday after a walk around the park. We found a table outside overlooking the lake. A waitress then arrived and said we couldn’t sit there if we were not ordering food. She said we had to sit around by the entrance area. To say the place was not busy was an understatement. We bought 4 drinks 2 wines one cider one gin and tonic £24.70. No wonder the place is not busy
