I went there with my boyfriend last weekend. We didn’t know what to expect we came from Halling near Rochester (Medway Valley Park) anyway the staff were amazing and made us feel welcome, the food was stunning didn’t take long and the atmosphere is the best part can’t fault it at all. I’ll be definitely be coming back and bring the family up too. Thank you again Smith and Western see you soon :D

Had a meal here the other night. Was so good & the staff were very friendly & welcoming. Loved the atmosphere & will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!!!

Had a lovely meal with friends, the food & the atmosphere was great . Loved the sadle bar stools ! Could have sat at the bar all night ! Lol . We was well looked after by our waitress, we never felt rushed which was lovely . Definitely recommend it x

Had a great time as usual; Nikki welcomed us and checked us in by not even needing our names, which just showed how on top of things she is. We checked into our room, which rightfully is 4star rated. TV, comfy bed with extra pillows available in our wardrobe, ironing board and iron. A wicked coffee machine. The bathroom and al the little touches makes this Hotel so trouble free, barely needed to all for anything apart from extra milk, which came within minutes when we requested it. We changed clothes and headed to the bar for the 5oclock happy hour. The cocktails are DELICIOUS! Our barman; Seb, was a good laugh! Our meal as always was delicious and the portions typically generous. We had a great night, the late check out and a great breakfast ready for our day out in Pantiles Market. Another great stay!

Come to smith & western last night for my surprise birthday had a lovely meal with friends and my partner the food, music and the atmosphere was great . Loved the saddle stools � we never felt rushed to leave which was lovely . Definitely recommend it xx

Came here last night with my man as a joint birthday meal for us both and it was the best food iv teasted in tunbridge wells the staff were lovely too will definitely be coming back thank you for making it such a lovely evening xx

Western themed restaurant, bar and hotel. Look at the web site and you will see what you get. What you don’t see is the welcome from the staff. Very friendly, couldn’t fault them. Great service. Love the bar saddles.

Went there last night 11 of us wasn't to busy food ok and service all good waited a while for food but all came out together portions just right you have to enjoy the experience and theme definitely different .prices on par with beef eater restaurants not been when really busy but ok weekday no problems. Good parking too .would go again but not to everyone's taste made a nice change .

We had dinner here on New Year’s Eve and stayed in the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The food, staff and room were brilliant. However there’s only two things that let this place down, and means we can’t give 5 stars that it would otherwise deserve:



1. They should warn guests that the music from the restaurant is loud and until late. We didn’t mind on this occasion as it was NYE and were out ourselves. But it would possibly put us off staying at other times



2. The breakfasts are very poor. Over cooked, cold and slow. Very disappointing

Came here for my husbands 40th birthday (with our son). We loved the atmosphere and decor (we love country music). When our food came out unfortunately the waiter accidentally dropped some of my husbands chips in his lap and the floor. The waiter said he would get some more sent out, however they never materialised. My husband complained. We ordered desserts too. The food is nice. We did get a discount on our bill after the mishap fortunately. We would certainly go back and have said we will try the accommodation as we live an hour away and loved the whole theme thing.

The food was lovely, however, waiting for our table to (just) be laid for over 20 minutes (there were about 6 free tables we walked past to our table, after the barman chased our table up for us). We were then given our menus, another 20/30mins past where we were asked what we'd like. We got our meals about an 1hr10 after initially arriving at the restaurant. In total of arriving and leaving (after 2 course), we had been in there for approx 2hrs30 - we weren't asked if we'd like more drinks, which were finished before our mains arrived and didn't order anynore due to the extremely slow service. This was our 1st visit and unfortunately will be our last. Sad as the restaurant has huge potential.

Fun atmosphere, food average, but appears to be run by over worked 20 something's. As a party of four couples staying in the hotel found it strange that the bar shut at 11pm and whilst the staff enjoyed beer and wine 'after' hours yet paying residents couldn't get a drink after 11pm found ourselves retiring early on a Saturday night. However the breakfast, again an ok rating, was served by an over worked and tired lad who had been on duty the night before but was attentive. The rooms are nice & clean and feel more like staying in someone's guest room than hotel which is nice. But someone at Smith and Western must have at least travelled to America once to purchase all the lights, fixtures, wagon wheels and fittings, just a shame they didn't sample and replicate a little of the food at the same time. American pancakes always come with whipped butter, you always get asked 'how would you like your steak Sir', and a customer NEVER EVER HAS to Ask for coffee...

Food was ok but not over warm but service was so so slow waited 25 minutes to get drinks and even longer to order food. It wasn’t as if they where busy very empty

Been here before and it was ok. This time it was awful. Cold..the music is so loud you cant hear anything so having a conversation is out of thw question. Hubby had chicken with cheese on and bbq sauce said it was ok but nothing special. I had nacho platter i had this last time and it was alright this time it was awful..looked good but yeuk...old nachos burnt horrid. I did complain and the waitress took it to the kitchen who agreed and took it off our bill but i was left having had no dinner..wont be back again.

When you are eating a meal and a brick falls out of the wall next to you, is that ok?? Waitress didn't seem to care.

Had to go walkabout just to find sugar for a coffee. Then had to find a waitress for the bill because they disappeared. Would not recommend this place until the staff actually care about their customers.

Usually love the place-this time shockingly shit-slow service rubbish food.used to really like this place-will not bother again-fucking expensive as well for a load of shit
