Smith & Wollensky has been serving up what is without doubt the finest steak in America since it first opened its doors in New York in 1977. After winning the heart of the Big Apple, those award-winning steaks were soon to be found all across the States, from the windy city of Chicago to the hot sands of Miami Beach. Smith & Wollensky launched its first London site in the historic Grade II-listed Adelphi Building just off the Strand and offers a selection of signature USDA prime dry-aged steaks and premium seafood, alongside award-winning wines and classic cocktails.

There were 22 of us and there was the potential for a lot of confusion but the Maitre D showed great professionalism and courtesy, he managed the ordering process perfectly ensuring everyone could focus on having a good time. When it arrived all the food was excellent quality and delicious, we didn’t have a single complaint. The decor and atmosphere is also first class, all I would say is be prepared for the bill! Worth it for a special occasion

The best steak I have ever eaten, with wonderful and knowledgable staff on hand to give advice for novices. Lovely decor. Had a great time, perfect for special occasions and can't wait to go again.

Second year coming for a rugby club event. Even mass catered for 150 + people, the steak is faultlessly cooked and amazing quality. The serving staff are amazing, work so hard and attentively. Very highly recommended

Lunch with the family , lovely cocktails at the bar , great service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, wonderful meal super wine list our ltaian red wine was decanted at the table ,the best Chateaux beef I have ever tasted , great sides , the best chocolate cake which we shared for desert and took Home .all very expensive west end prices . Loved it will go back.
Literally, one of the best places in London to eat delicious steak, drink beautiful wine and indulge in tasty desserts whilst enjoying the warm and friendly hospitality of S&W's staff.

I think there was 13 of us, there may have been more. The food was fantastic and the service equal to it. We were treated like Kings and presented with a royal ransome at the end, however worth every penny.
I haven't even had my food yet and they've earned 5 stars. When I say "they've" I mean the staff. Friendly, accommodating and attentive. One waitress noticed my glass low on water and refilled it for me. What incredible service. The interior is a mix of old meets new with great attention to detail. Definatly a must go to restaurant if you're in the london area. Maybe I'll let you know what the food tastes like sometime lol
Had an amazing night tonight to celebrate my Birthday. Came here 2 years ago and left disappointed due to the poor service. Oh how it has changed! We were looked after by informed, happy staff from the waiter through to the restaurant manager. Even surprised by a cake and candle! We will certainly book to go again, even if it’s a 400mile round trip for us. We were made to feel very special. Thank you

Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped through the door. The cloakroom attendant was very helpful and polite. I requested a main course that was off menu and it was made for me. The waiters were delightful. The atmosphere was just right. The toilets were immaculate. What more can I say. We will definitely be returning here.

Most disappointing as I was so looking forward to our meal tonight. My self and friends burger was cold but we were due at the theatre so didn't have time to change it. The wine was deducted from our bill which was kind. But as a was eating realised my meat was rare not medium which I could not eat I tried but couldn't. I didn't complain as didn't want to sound like I was a moaner. Such a shame
