Soho | Last Days Of The Goat! Sadly closing after 3.5 magical years in Denmark Street. We’d love to stay longer but building works are underway and we only signed a 6 month lease back in October 2014, so we really can’t complain. I love the place dearly, it’s the only place I know where people regularly come in for dinner, leave and then come back for a drink in the same night. Thank you to all our very loyal regulars who don’t mind waiting for tables every night and the team many of whom have grown into managers and co owners with us. Join in celebration eating and drinking over the course of next week (last service finishing at 8pm on Saturday 13th).

Smoking Goat 2.0 is in the workshop. Delighted to say we'll be opening mid October on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch. Feels like a bit of a miracle from early DIY days on Denmark street. To the regulars who have supported us throughout our growing pains... thank you. You can read a snippet of what redchurch street will be about on the brilliant new @eaterlondon site today. Fore mostly, we'll be continuing our focus on really high quality ingredients from our fantastic suppliers and looking to keep the atmosphere that we love at the goat currently.

Well, if you're looking for run of mill Thai, stop. If you're looking for awesome food with a Thai flair and good spice... Run to this place. Tight space, excellent service, really "SoHo" worthy staff, and a clientele that fits the vibe of this place.

User

Very unassuming place when you walk in but just wait till you taste the Food.

Great staff led by Kylie & Matt. And the food is the best, most authentic Thai food in London and you can wash it down with Beavertown Neck Oil. They have a sister Restaurant on Brewer Street. You must try this place.

User

The staff are very friendly and the right amount of attentive. The food is lovely Very good sharing food and varied flavours...not too hot (although I hear some dishes are very hot). Very good value for money!

Book and Go

Punctuated our xmas shopping with lunch and it was amazing! If you like smokey flavours combined with spice and an totally relaxed atmosphere you'll love it. Friendly and informative waitress who made us feel at home instantly, can't wait to return xx

User

Probably the best chilli fish sauce chicken wings in London! Staff are very cool and uber friendly. Rum, thai basil & lime cocktail, bring me another one

User

Lovely cosy, candle lit restaurant. The food was served quickly & was amazing! Lovely staff too. Would highly recommend but from what we saw, it gets super busy. I can see why after having tasted the food.

User

It was a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, enjoyed the staff, and loved the food! Had the Goat shoulder which was amazing!! The menu says it's big enough for 2, but it's big enough for 3 or 4! The scallop was ok, the spicy cabbage salad was good, but tasted a little salty. The sticky rice was yum! Had the spiced Iced tea which was wonderfully delicious and the lemongrass drink! Yum!! Would highly recommend this place. Not sure about the rest of the items on the menu, but after what I had I would definitely come back to try the rest !

User

Fantastic place. The IPA is outstanding.. the goat sholder is melt in the mouth and perfectly spiced.. love the Thai cabbage.. I nearly forgot the scallop.. they are served in the shell with Thai spicing they've been lightly bbq'd. Great atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful.

User

Fantastic place, great food, lovely drinks and great staff. Stumbled on the place by accident on way to station to get home and sooooo glad we did! Will definitely recommend to ppl...

User

Dazzlingly good. I started with a single oyster, then ordered 2 more. Moved onto a daily special and a veggie side, and only regret not having brought more people with me to taste more of the dishes.

User

Been here during most of my visits to London since i came across it a couple of years ago & never dissapointed! Great staff, relaxed & friendly, wonderful cocktails but the real star of the show is the very unassuming but fantastic Thai food. Authentic rustic dishes with good quality ingredients cooked well by a chef who's obviously passionate about his trade. The menu is tweaked regularly & there are daily specials to ring even more of a change.

User

Amazing place, the menu is different each day. We tried the whiting and the goat laab with sticky rice. So so good and great atmosphere, great Thai food.A must try in London.

User

Amazing in every way. Often you come out of a restaurant in London thinking what the fuss was all about? This was so good! Excellent staff, amazing ingredients put together so damn well. Both Smoking Goat and its sister restaurant Kiln have been superb!

User

Always bloody great.

Superb Thai flavours...Short Rib beef, Goat, Lamb...all meats done just right....but personally I could live on the Scallops, for at least a month or two.

All washed down with some good beer...or a crisp, dry bottle of white

User

defies categorisation: so just go, and order the goat, and cucumber salad, and chicken wing, and pork belly, and brisket, and, and, and..

User

Pity but we were running too late to really savour the meal but it stayed with me for a couple of days in a good way in my mind I kept going back to the great taste and supersoft texture of the meat.ill go again for sure and take some friends and we'll take our time and enjoy the meal and the atmosphere. The staff were very nice too. Then we'll go and see the book of Mormon.

User

Loved the sticky rice and the pork belly and my husband thought his beef was great. Disappointed with a flat tasting green papaya salad and the chicken hearts were just too bouncy and tough. Great staff, good vibe but the good just did not stand out enough to be 'great'.

User

An interesting dinner. Very tasty. Having been to Thailand many times not sure if it's traditional, that I've never had or a funky London version on Thai food. Either way it was very nice. Was all good, beef rib, lamb rib (never had lamb in Thailand) sardines nam tok. I've had better Laarb moo in Thailand, but one of my party said it was the best dish. To me it had a dusty undertone like Gra chai.

User

Sadly, similar experience here, I popped in for a drink told could only have a drink outside.. service was ok, young chap was pleasant but £6 for a beer too dear!
