Vegan Cocktail Masterclass London
Singles events in London huh? Regular speed dating is JUST. SO. BORING. Whilst regular mixers couldn’t get anymore wanky if they tried! So we’ve teamed up with the awesome team from Tibits Bankside to get as far away from that stigma as possible!
Behold Vegan/Veggie Cocktail Masterclass!
... Yep, an actual singles event for vegans and veggies to do something fun that isn’t forced!
As a vegan since 2002 I always wanted to start a platform for vegans and veggies to hang out/meet and do something fun in a cool venue – so I really think this is a good start.
So, What’s the Deal?
Good question.
We’re going to make a few cocktails with nibbles as well as doing some cool interactive bits and pieces to help everyone get to know each other.
And, What’s Included?
You’re cocktail (obviously) and vegan nibbles throughout the evening.
Tickets are incredibly limited and will sell out (seriously, they actually will) so snap them up whilst you can!

Regular, run-of-the-mill speed dating in London is so boring and monotonous and “singles” cocktail parties are, well, a little bit wanky. Share an experience that’s a little bit different, it’ll make it so much easier to break the ice with somebody.
We’re so happy that one of London’s best dating events, Dirty Scrabble Dating, is coming to Kentish Town’s iconic Bull and Gate!
How it works:
... This has now become one of one of London’s number one dating events. It’s Scrabble crossed with speed dating, but you’re only allowed to use rude words, so be creative!
Laugh your head off as you work your way around the room, meeting people who have just as dirty a mind as you do. We’re not going to promise that you’ll meet “the one”, but we can guarantee you’ll have an awesome time meeting new people.
Places are always limited (seriously – they really are) so don’t miss out!

Went to Jenga night with a friend, had such a good time! Everyone was really friendly and the whole format works well. Even if you don't meet a match you'll still have a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend.

User

Went along to Jenga speed dating with a couple of friends for a twist on the usual format - great fun! We all enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend you give it a go. The option to click with someone as a friend rather than romantically is also a great touch. The organiser, Jordi is very friendly and fun, top bloke!

This slightly quirky twist on a conventional concept is what enticed me to try speed dating - something I have never had the inclination to do before. And it ended up being a welcome break from the the tedium of dating apps! The combination of decent venues and the idea of pairing the night with games seems to attract a good bunch of people, meaning if nothing else, you'll surely end up having a good ol chat and a giggle. And thank you to the host Jordi for being so very welcoming and so successfully eliminating any potential awkwardness. Give it a go folks - I can confidently say you'll have a blast.

User

The twists that Smudged Lipstick put on the normal speed dating events makes such a difference, and takes away a lot of the potential awkwardness that you might otherwise expect. The events I've been to have had a good group of people there, and regardless of whether or not you meet someone, it's a fun evening out.

Never thought I'd be going to a Spelling Bee of all things when I started doing social events in London, but it was worth a go, it was really good fun. Well hosted and a lively atmosphere, the evening flew by. Just as well I got eliminated when I did, I would never have got through the later rounds! There were some very impressive spellers there for sure, and it was very fair and sensible to split the prize between the two finalists in the end, they'd earned it! I'd definitely recommend the evening to anyone looking for something a bit different - same goes for the Dirty Scrabble Speed Dating as well for that matter, that's also a great way to spend an evening. 😊

Myself and a group of friends attended the Anti Valentines party hosted by Smudged Lipstick. It's was a really fun evening with pool and ping pong as well as connect 4 and even a piñata. Jordi the founder of Smudged Lipstick and his co host Shak really made the evening chatting to all the guests and making it an inclusive evening even if you were to go it alone. Highly recommended!

User

London Spelling Bee is possibly the most frustrating yet fun 90 minutes of your life. Following a knock out you will inevitably be able to spell everyone else's words...but may also come away thinking 'huh? I never knew that one!'

Educational and fun, with cocktails. What more could you want?

User

Jenga dating was way more fun than just regular speed dating. The numbers of people were small and manageable, unlike other events that seem to drag on endlessly! The activity really helped break the ice and Jordi was a great host who made everyone feel at ease. Will definitely try another event and recommend others to give it a go!

User

It was an impromptu decision to attend the Spelling Bee competition, partly because I'd just watched Bad Words (if you haven't seen it I'd advise you do so) and it was sooo worth it! The crowd was great, venue was awesome but most importantly the host was hilarious! The accent adds a lot of confusion to the words you have to spell and the use in a sentence examples are funny. Add alcohol to the mix, you've got a fun night out. Perfect after work light-hearted fun.

User

I went to the jenga dating night last night. Everyone was really easy to talk to and open minded. The format worked really well for breaking the ice but not too distracting from the actual "dating" part. It was a lot of fun and matching with people was an added bonus. Definitely would recommend.

User

I went to the Diary Days event on Monday. It was so much fun! Great crowd, good readings. If you are looking for a different night out - do this, you won't be disappointed! And if you have something funny or worthy to share, sign up to read your story or poem etc as well.

User

I went to the Cards Against Humanity speed dating and it was, in a word, brilliant! They organise the game and the night in a very smart way. It's engaging, without the one-on-one potential awkwardness you get from speed dating when you don't click with someone. Tip: I've noticed the tickets for women do tend to sell out quickly so be sure to sign up to their mailing list to hear all about upcoming events as soon as they're released, and book your tickets in advance.

As a fan of The Mortified Guide on Netflix, I was delighted to find our own open mic version here in London - Diary Days by Smudged Lipstick. Colour Me Badd Dates is also a lot of fun. Everyone laughs a long with you (I hope) at all kinds of cringeworthy memories and stories. 100% recommended!

User

Hadn't been to a speed dating event before so was a little bit apprehensive. That all evaporated within a few minutes of walking in - I had a fantastic time and was buzzing with energy by the end of the evening! An excellent concept and a really charismatic & welcoming host - will definitely be back!

User

Had the utmost pleasure of attending Diary Days and can honestly say I haven't had this much fun on a Monday night than... well, ever. Riotously funny readings, and the best part was how warm and welcoming the vibe of the audience was. A true safe space to express yourself and have a great time without (much) judgment. I can't wait for the next one.

User

Good fun! Went on my own and was warmly welcomed and felt comfortable the whole evening. Would go again!

User

Went to the Singles Life Drawing class. The class was led by London Drawing so plenty of guidance and advice on how to draw. Although at times it felt a too much like an art class more than dating event, it was great fun. Definitely will be attending another one of their events in the future

User

It's been ages since I played either Pool or Ping-Pong, but as the vibe was super chilled and almost jovial-fun, I quickly got my groove back!

The organizers were super helpful and the crowd was equally laid back.

These factors really made the event feel different, and much more fun than the usual dating events. I felt that strangers immediately became friends over a game of pool or ping pong, and time just flew by!

I'm looking forward to another event :)

User

Bit delayed on this post! Just wanted to point out how much fun I had at Dirty Scrabble back in February. All details thought out, the only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because of the calibre of men but aside from that, Jordi has come up with a great concept. He's always been a welcoming - a real people person! Will miss ya Jordi X

User

Attended one of the dirty scrabble evenings. Was good fun and definitely better than the stereotypical speed dating evenings. We were let down by a number of people cancelling last minute, but the organisers can't help that. So going to attend another event in the near future and going to recommend to others too.
