This is a bistro style restaurant that has an amazing panoramic view of the bay. My group turned up on Tuesday night, to be informed that Tuesday night is Pizza night!!

This is not the frozen kind thrown into a hot oven, this is fresh dough and ingredients cooked in a pizza oven. I had smoked ham, caramelised onion and blue cheese but there was many other ingredients on offer. Thin crust, baked to perfection, piping hot and ...well, you guessed it.......delicious!!!

Sitting back looking out on the bay with the sound of the surf rolling in on the beach, great pizza, drink and good friends, that's the civilised way to eat!!

There is a stunning menu available of all kinds of meals to satisfy most tastes. I also noticed, cream teas, cakes, sandwiches, teas and freshly ground coffee. So whatever the time of day, there is great food here to welcome you, freshly cooked by Robin.

It was such a joy to see that the children from the cottage helping out too. With all the latest comment in trade mags about the shortage of chefs and waiting staff, it's good to see these young folk being encouraged to get involved.

Great food and great, no stunning setting. We have visited this lovely cafe over the past couple of years during our annual week's holiday in nearby Croyde. The location first of all is absolutely breathtaking - the cove is amazing to explore, lots of little pools for crabbing with the kids and an abundance of shells and stones for skimming. Now onto the cafe; the food which I'm sure is all freshly home made, is just excellent. It might take a little while to arrive but its most certainly worth the wait and reassuring to know that this is not microwave, cooked in 120 seconds food. There were lots of delicious cakes to choose from but we opted for the Cream tea while the kids had ice cream sundae's. We also shared a portion of chips - which without hesitation were the best chips we have ever tasted. I cannot recommend this place enough and is a must on your list if visiting North Devon. #seeyounextyear
