I went in to ask about film developing and scan costs. The woman was pretty curt with me and they're pretty expensive. When i mentioned that I'd go somewhere else because i knew cheaper, she told me in a patronising tone that, nowhere is cheaper now days. As a note. Many postal development services are cheaper, also Eyeculture in Shoreditch is nearly a quarter of the price, and nicer. Their film is double the price of online. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THESE PEOPLE.

£30 for four international passport photos in Snappy Snaps Charlotte street store!! Same service is £20 in their store in Victoria street. Still expensive ++ as compared to U.K. Passport photos. The excuse for this rip-off and the 50% price difference is that stores are privately-owned; this obviously gives them the right to put the prices as high as they wish and take advantage of the people who go there not prepared and in a rush. No thanks!! Worth spending some time to find alternatives if you still want to stick to the area.

The service of the staff and the quality of the photos are excellent. I don't usually write reviews, but the level of customer service (and personal kindness of one particular member of staff - Helen) was outstanding. I went to Snappy Snaps on a last minute mission to get our wedding photos printed for our first wedding anniversary. I arrived in store 30 mins before closing in a bit of a panic, and Helen very patiently talked me through how the machines worked, and printed out around 200 photos in many different sizes. I stayed beyond closing time on a Friday night, and Helen ensured I had everything I needed before I left and she was able to close up. Thank you so much to all the team, and especially Helen. My husband loved the photo album!!

I was a bit concerned before going their as there are so many negative comments. However, I can confirm that now it definitely worth the 5-star comment. I went there to get some Chinese passport photos and the staff was very nice and patient despite I asked more than 8 questions regarding the regulations of the photo. The photo was just taken around the corner of the shop so it is a bit lame, essentially no big difference from the photo machine but if you want to have photo with special regulations, I'd definitely recommend this.

The price is 15.99 for 4 passport photos and 19.99 if you want the digital version. It is a bit expensive to be honest but that's the price around central London and you can ask them to fix the photo at your demand. Personally I think this is a small but good photo booth and definitely deserve a 4+ rating based on my experience today.

Fast, efficient and friendly service. Output of great quality.

DO NOT GO THERE! They rip you off! £19.99 for US visa photos or £30.00 if you buy the digital version too. Simply google other locations. I found one even 2 places nearby for £10.00 ! And they are profesional, not the typical chemist photoboots. ' Passport photo service' off Oxford st are very good. Went with them and I'm satisfied.

I had a batch scan of rare archive photographs done in late January. One photograph had been scanned with a little blob of red wax. I asked if I could have a free rescan and they said no, but made an offer "as a gesture we can offer you the scan for £6.99 + vat which is more than 50% discount" (there was no indication of an expiration date on this). I thought about the offer and waited to see if my contact with provide more new photographs, so that I could warrant a new batch, but months passed and I felt this wasn't going to happen.

On Monday I walked into the store and handed the photo to the shop - I explained the offer I had been given to the clerk, she wrote down the order, there was no confusion, no mis-understanding, there were no yellow or red flags - about having to double check. She was empathetic to my situation. Later that day I received an email from the person who had given the offer initially and she was revoking it because of expired time. I was further offended in the way the email was worded as if I was confused - trying to rewrite history about how there was an uncertainty and need to double check. I was too angry to properly express my annoyance but I told them to process the order and that they were not congruent with what they said and offered and in both interactions there was never an indication of expired time. I was also told that I would be given the scan on Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday I was told that the photograph has been scanned in and was ready to collect, and that a transfer would then occur after payment.

Thursday I went back to the store to collect and pay for the scan, as well make a formal complaint in person. I had started to write a response on Monday to this email about being confused - but I held back - and decided to email myself the email I had written so as I could at least infer to my exact feelings on the situation. The clerk I had met the other day - smirked at me when I stood up for myself - offering a now take it or leave it attitude. I said please can you get the manager, someone who wants to take responsibility. The manager came upstairs, wanted to wander over to the terminal to bring up the email they had written. I expressed as calmly as possible the facts - how I had been given an offer with no expiry terms mentioned, how I had come into the store and given the asset with no incident. She wanted to conform to her email as a new agreement and I told her - this wouldn't stand up in a small claim court. She didn't like my response and soon after shoved the asset back into my hands - she tried to convince me this was a new photo and I corrected her and told her, no its the same photo, from the same batch. She then told me the asset hadn't been scanned in and I corrected her again saying I was told that it had been and I was here specifically to collect it. She then walked away and said she will wetransfer the file to me and she can not spend anymore time with the case. The term I would use to express how she handed back the asset to me is border-line assault. I was stunned and stood there for a second, at the pack of lies, manipulation tactics and the attitude I had received over them trying to wangle their way out of saving 10 pounds. In a way I had to confront 3 different people to discuss that order. At the end of the day I was sent the file for free, "as promised" - it only took a few days of aggravation and a border-line assault and risk of damaging a rare archive artefact that doesn't belong to me.

Tried charging through the nose as I wanted some printing done then and there...not impressed

Extortionately overpriced US passport photos. Images of equal quality can easily be obtained in the vicinity of Euston either from a photo booth at the Station (less than a quarter of the price at Snappy Snaps) or from Nevex who are nearby at Kings X and only charge £8.50 for four high quality photographs. Nevex passport photos are taken by a member of staff and printed as quickly as those from Snappy Snaps for less than a third of the price. There is no need to pay in excess of £30 for two images and I won't be using Snappy Snaps again on principal.

Staff seemes polite and attentive and shop seems well equipped, one thing to avoid here is passport photos! Avoid! Bad lighting and wringly situated photo corner will make you look like a alien, £16.99 (!!!!) for a set of 4 is an outrage and a rip off!

Contrary to other reviews on here, I couldn't be happier with the service received from the team at Charlotte Street. Here is the impromptu email I sent to their customer service team: I very rarely do this, but I have just been into your Charlotte Street Store and been served by Michelle Ryall. I want to say a HUGE thanks to her for her amazing customer service - she really was one of the most helpful people I have encountered in ages! I am a total technophobe and she guided me through everything with ease (and without making me feel silly!) She had a shop full of customers, and although she was extremely busy, she made us all feel welcome and attended our needs without flapping. I travel to the States on a regular basis where they treat customer service with extreme care and attention. Michelle exceeded my expectations by far - making the States look like amateurs!! Please say a big well done to her! On the flipside, the products are a tad expensive, but I'm happy to pay for quality and convenience...
