The area is a acceptable place

User

Not as well used as previously never appears to be any staff available when ticket machine or barriers malfunction, for years now staff are conspicuous by their absence a boon for fare dodgers

Snaresbrook station is unnecessarily difficult for those with mobility problems - and it could so easily be rectified and at no cost. The street gate which leads via stairs directly to the westbound platform to central London is open from 5am to 10am and then closed. Just one set of stairs when it is open - and there are electronic barriers at the top to stop fare-dodgers.
When the gate is shut at all other times there are not only steps up to the station to the high street to negotiate, but also steps up to the bridge crossing the track and steps down to the platform - three sets of steps. Many elderly people have no option but to take a bus or walk to Wanstead.
