Lovely photos of Liberty at the Detection Dog Trials. She was very interested in the polystyrene box but eventually did a lovely indication on the wall. The chair photos, the scent was slightly higher up on the wall behind the next set of chairs. She’s not indicating here but trying to work it out, which she eventually did. It was like working a Tasmanian devil that day but the final indications were nice!
Van already packed for tonight’s trial. Special good luck wishes to my clients competing -
Karen “itchy ear” James and Alfie
Mike and ‘Green chair hunter” Poppy
... Sharon and ‘I thought it was a chair tossing competition” Mosi
Peter and “if it’s there I’ll eat it” Button
Proud of you all regardless of tonight’s results - do the best you can.

Really miss working Summer Solstice with my little pocket rocket Griffin.
Hiding on the end of a track for the wonderful Wilson- lovely way to earn a living
Awesome score - Alfie and Karen got 2nd place and 100 points at their second Level 1 trial. Alfie is a very sensitive soul and Karen must of handled him like a pro.
Fab training as ever from Jens Frank
Love the work Jens Frank does
Magic hasn’t been tracking for long but I think she’s enjoying it. I certainly enjoy watching her! This is her first assessment track - needless to say her and Ann passed.
What a clever team - two tracking assessments passed in one night!
This will be a great chance for some of you to test your skills!
So proud of Mike and Poppy scoring 100 points at only their 2nd level 1 trial and coming first, they were super quick too!
This is Michelle and Kirra. We were working on building duration in the indication. All the steps are included but it has been edited from the 30 minute session.
The last one. This is level 2 bags and boxes. I forgot to put camera on during the exterior searches so will try to get that at the next trial.
Level 2 tables and chairs. We got one wrong. Maybe if I had overlapped the search more when we returned to the table and chairs, I may have given him a better chance - but he searched well and it doesn’t really matter.
This is a Level 1 vehicle search - only interesting if you are going to a trial! Roger is showing every inch of his youth here and is quite distracted but you can still get good marks. The judges expect a bit of imperfection in the lower levels.
This is a Level 2 vehicle search - again Rogers only 7 months, so I am very supportive vocally as he finds vehicles difficult. The judge didn’t penalise me for this.
This is Roger doing a Level 1 bags and boxes s4arch - for those of you preparing to enter a trial. He is just 7 months this week, so I am quite animated with him.
