If anyone would like to have some equine homeschooling workbooks then Tinky has developed these. Tinky has done some examining for our pony club in recent times. If you order direct please mention your link to Snowdon, as we will get a % back to help the yard, or I can organise it for you if you just let me know. They would be a great thing to do on a Monday evening while pony club is not running.

Please can clients who see our post about being closed either comment or send us a message then we know you’ve seen it and we don’t need to call you. As you can imagine we have a lot of people to speak to cancel lessons with so a message or 2 would help us. We have had quite a few people offer support to Snowdon during this time too. If you were interested in booking a block of lessons or getting a gift voucher then these would help support us but would also remain valid for when we reopen. Thank you.

Following yesterdays social and leisure activities being closed down, horse riding is currently still allowed. Below is the link from the British Horse Society, of which we are a 5 star approved centre. We are following the recommended precautions and there will be some changes to lesson sizes. We are currently open with plenty of sanitiser. If there are any queries, please do message or call us. We do please ask if you feel unwell or are unsure if you should come then please be sensible to protect yourselves and us too. If we get poorly we will have to close down to ensure we can look after all of our horses properly. Thank you.

We have received this email from pony club today. So as of now there will be no pony club on a Monday evening until further notice. We are very sorry to have to do this as we have a lovely group of children who love coming to pony club. Hopefully it will all be ok again soon. If we cannot do pony club dressage in the holidays then we will reschedule for later in the year. Thanks for your understanding.

In light of today’s government advice we are remaining open, however, as people do not need to be in close proximity to each other we ask that people only use the viewing gallery for the toilet and do not gather there to wait for the start of a lesson or to view, as it’s an enclosed space. Where possible please drop off and collect people if not driving yourself, and gather on the yard for a lesson. We are taking other extra precautions on the yard and will keep a close eye on how things are changing. We are more flexible with the cancellation policy at the moment too but please let us know if you are unable to attend a lesson. Many thanks.

As a small family run riding school we ask for people to please be sensible with the recent Coronavirus outbreak. We have to put our trust in you not to come for a lesson if you are unwell. There’s always another day to ride. Many of us have young children and vulnerable parents to protect plus a lot of horses to care for, as well as the health of all our customers who do come. We currently intend to stay open, if there are any changes we will notify people. Thanks for your understanding.

Pony club tonight are doing some work towards their dressage arenas badge and an upcoming dressage test. Hopefully with a bit of bareback riding if the weather is suitable. If not it may have to be hobby horses.

We’re looking for a new member of staff who has some teaching experience or BHS exams to join the Snowdon team to do daily yard duties and to teach. You would be involved with teaching private and group lessons to clients of a variety of ages and abilities and Pony Club children, in our indoor 20x40 arena and surrounding fields. We are not a kick along riding school and have high standards of teaching. Must have a keen interest in horses, their care and handling, and be will...ing to learn new techniques of horsemanship. We are a small team of staff on a busy yard so you need to be physically capable of dealing with tough jobs, not mind working in all weather conditions, friendly, reliable and trustworthy. Training towards exams is available plus plenty of events running throughout the year to get involved with. Full time hours available with one weekend day and flexibility for holiday cover needed. If you wish to apply please email Cath with your CV and a covering letter and we will get in touch. Many thanks. cath.meehan@btconnect.com
