Solent diabetes study day is in progress. Presentations from Rita Trodden (UHS) Acute management of DKA. Dr Patrick Sharp, Cambridge education programme. Dr Eveleigh Nicholson , weight management . Dr Gala Alsafadi, BAME and management. Also presenting today are our own Diabetes specialist nurses Beth and Maria. Today we host our annual diabetes day with the help of Novo. A jammed packed day dull of diabetes updates and information. Today we spread the word of libre, travel guidance, DIRECT trail, DKA management within uhs and many more.

Perfect week for some Diabetes HCP education! ✏️📘
Today Emma & Beth, & the podiatry & retinal screeners from the team are spending the day with 20 nurses from across the community wellbeing teams in Southampton!
This will hopefully give them the confidence to carry out annual reviews for people with diabetes that are housebound... We love meeting community nurses and helping them with diabetes education.. see you there! #nurses #CPD #talkaboutdiabetes
