Busy slipway ☀️

We were asked to look over a rather neglected Fairline Targa 30 in October last year in Lymington prior to purchase. boat was purchased and delivered by road by Kingswell Haulage so as not too risk damage to engines without full in depth inspection.
Whilst the Volvo Penta KAD32s ran the customer wanted them overhauled. During the rebuild the boat owner was very much engaged in the process with several discussions keeping the customer fully informed and in control of the budge...t. The engines were fully rebuilt, stainless steel sumps were custom made instead of the standard mild steel versions. Stainless steel exhaust elbows were also fitted. Injectors were serviced and valves re seated. Bores were re honed in house and new piston rings fitted. Turbos were seized and were completely rebuilt. All coolers were acid bathed to remove all salt water contaminants and blockages. Engines were media blasted by Solent blasters primed and treated to a fresh coat of Volvo green and redressed with refurbished ancillaries and up graded alternators. Transom shields were seized, so were removed from boat freed up and new parts installed. Morse engine controls fitted.
whilst in our indoor storage facility Solent Marine Services organised on behalf of the owner Gelcoat repairs, Darren Lunn supplied Flexiteek Decking to both cockpit and bathing platform to replace damaged teak. The cockpit upholstery was replaced and a new canopy fitted.
Cowes Marine Electrical supplied and fitted new Raymarine plotter and Radar. Fitted Eberspacher heating, engine room lighting, replacement battery charger and upgraded battery. whilst in the shed the antifouling was stripped primed and antifouled, the hull was cut and polished returning the original colour and shine to a very badly oxidised gelcoat. The hull graphics were also replaced. the boat was sea trialed and returned the same performance as she would have had when new.

Bavaria 38sport in for Pre season clean and polish. From radar to hull. Plus covers cleaned and treated. Decks cleaned and treated. Lifted out for a wash off and antifoul. Drives serviced and engines serviced. Collected from its Berth and returned. Making boating as easy and trouble free as it should be for the client.

Mr Noisy Class 3N in this years UKOPRA races is getting a full restoration at Solent Marine Services for 2019. Owner, driver Alan Goodwin and this years team Boss David Ormiston have been busy all winter stripping her down for new fittings, interior from Billy White (1st class covers) and new wrap thanks to Mike Pack (Alpaca Wraps). engine parts are being stripped and powder coated by Bret Coyne (Island coachworks and coatings) Looking forward to this years events. 😎 Fi...rst sponsor on board and looking forward to a run out during testing.
